I'll just change gears a little....these are what I do when I'm forced to give up and go inside when it gets serious nippy...did I mention I'm a flintknapper? all steel blades are made from old saws,mostly crosscuts..

That's great,I appreciate all of the above.Been crafting all sorts of things for about 30 yrs.I just quit doing shows 5 yrs ago...looong weekends doing them alone....That's great that you and your wife are on the same wave length!!! That doesn't happen often...
 
I think that's one count of abuse of an AG tyre unless you can demonstrate (or spin a yarn) that the tyre came loose from a CC and ran down the hill and took out the random Moose with one bounce and thus its feet are now in the air.... or as we say "poote in die lug" which roughly translated is: down with its feet upside down.
 
Gordon.interesting theory.. Thought I'd send you guys a few more....two have wooden sheaths(curly maple) with leather fastened to back..all the white inlays are ivory( really,old piano keys) silver wire inlays,brass nails... there's coyote jaw, elk,deer,1 buffalo leg for handles..the second pic shows a commercial hacksaw blade,my version of a rambo knife(next to the dark wood sheath, a refurbished folder....I'll quit with the personal pics unless you want to see some muzzleloader pics...I've built a few

I don;t know about the rest of you guys, but my tires always go flat on the bottom.
Is this one of those South of the equator things?
 
My brother and I spent some time at the family farm cutting down some trees that have grown to close to the pole barn over the years. The farm is under a major flyway for water fowl. Trumpeter Swans were flying back and forth all day. Ducks and geese are all over the place as well. Got a few photos with the cell phone of the swans.

We have a nesting pair of Red-Shouldered Hawks in a tree in the back yard. We've been watching them for about a week...
We believe the larger/darker breasted bird is the female, and the lighter mostly white underside is the male.
