I have a restored 2027 Super Cub with Kwik-Way loader. Original owner stated housings has a few stripped/repaired bolt holes when loader brackets was attached. Because of that, I am cautious of the amount of stress on it when using loader. I would like to upgrade the cast aluminum differential/housing with cast iron. I have read where individuals have done this. I think the part #'s are 717-3202 & 17-3220.
This above my capabilities (85 yrs) to do this or where to find the correct housings. I live in Wisconsin and am planning to go to Portage, WI. for the Garden Tractor Daze. Hopping to find some help there. Taking my granddaughter's husband along, he is showing interest in obtaining a older garden tractor.
Any advice on the parts needed and/or individuals with knowledge of doing this would be appreciated.
Almost forgot, the hour meter stop working. Is there a way of checking without removing gas tank? Thanks again!!
