I keep snapping the pto belt on my CC 1782 , tried different tension settings, is there an official tension setting, how should it be adjusted? Appreciate any help, another new belt arrives tomorrow uggh!

Are you using a Cub Cadet Belt? If not, then all bets are off. Have you reviewed the service manual?
Thanks
Had the off brand kevlar belt, it seems a challenge getting the cc belt even though a dealer. But the belt coming tomorrow is a cc belt. I don’t have a manual, I guess that’s next on the list. Just wanted to know how to set the screw in tension adjuster on the front.

The two pullies on the mule drive should be parallel, (across) from on another.
Should be a decal on the front of the MD that indicates where the release lever should be when properly adjusted.

Check all pulleys for size it’s the speed rate should be right and all bearings solo, then check for dry bearings, and the bearing in PTO clutch also !!!!
