On my 125 mower undercarriage there are two holes in each linkage arms to attach the 2 lift links for raising and lowering the undercarriage..
I thought the rearmost of these two holes was for attaching the 48" deck and the front hole for smaller decks?

I drew an arrow to the linkage holes I'm referring too. That appears to be a 48" deck., and it's mounted to the front holes.
In the deck operations manual they even show linkage arms with a single hole to mount the linkage arms.
