Going to look at a 1211. 900 hours . but it smokes all the time...would that be valve seals ? also any other concerns with this model ?

Total disassembly, new piston and rings, and machining required to properly fix. You might get lucky and find that the oil is old, and thin. A thicker oil will help that smoker.

If it's the oil, add a container of STP oil treatment (blue bottle) with the new oil, works great! May even fix the smoker if it is worn rings. Worth a try.
