Hey all, hope everyone had a fine Thanksgiving This Cub was made by neither IH nor MTD, but by Rolly My parents gave it to Jack for his 2nd birthday. I do believe he loves it! My original and 108 waited 30-40 years for restoration, they can wait a bit more while I enjoy this...

Like the new layout. . .lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Cub time has been minimal lately, but can't complain -- been replaced by this guy (and his 3 month old lil' brother): He also likes. . .scratch that, LOVES Jeeps:

Mike Johnson- Regarding your post of yesterday. Just because the sleeve hitch implements are not on sale now doesn't mean a few strokes of the computer can't fix that. Even if you're not buying out the store like Digger did! My local HD was out of the Brinly implements (I had previously...

Rich C- glad you dodged that bullet. This may have been posted already, but wanted to suggest to all to get to your local Home Depot -- All of the Brinly sleeve hitch implements are deeply discounted, being cleared out for the fall (probably to make room for snowblowers). I picked up a brand...

Gonna ask the Democracy of Two's indulgence for one more OT post. Alex, about a half hour after birth: To keep it somewhat on topic (well, to get a Cub in there):

Like Ken U, we now have twin trike motors, too, `cept we timed ours 21 months out of phase: The doctors at our local hospital found, at 8:36AM this morning, a 9-lb, 11-ounce, 21-1/2" boy inside Mrs. King. Mama and baby (Alex) are doing well.

Kraig, others re Kraigs post of 7:29 on Thursday morning. That NAPA part number for the voltage regulator is for QLs and up (non-S/G models). It won't work on a 70. I had gotten some bad advice as to that part, and it didn't work for long on my 127 (in other words, it worked long enough to...

Given my similar issues (more with the speed plowing than vandals), you racing fans will appreciate that I generally describe my mailbox post as having more screws in it than Rick Mears' right foot. . .but plastic ended up being the way to go. . .bounces back more often than not. On an...

For the New Englanders (and anyone else who is interested), it appears that CAMA (Connecticut Antique Machinery Association) has put its website back online after about a 6 month hiatus. However, it is back in only a very basic format right now. See it at: http://www.ctamachinery.com/...

Kraig- Great, now you took away my excuses. . .I've consoled myself that I haven't turned any wrenches on my Origial #1158 "basket case" on the theory that you got K4K was about a year before I got 1158. . .

Tedd - If the head of the footrest screw is too far gone to use any tool on, it can be ground clean, and a bolt with a nice new head welded to it. Put a wrench on the new bolt and (if your weld is good), back them out as one.

Hey all- Got some news to post: Sonos indicate that it looks like Jack is getting a baby brother in August. To keep it on topic, his Dad is looking forward to seeing some of you at Kent on Sunday for "Cub day."

Kraig- That pic of Jim C's grader is substantially as it appeared "live" in September, 2003 at the Kent, CT show. It was funny to watch some guys come up and say to their buddy: "I remember these."

Kraig- I couldn't begin to tell you where the past 16 months have gone (Though if I had an hour meter on the Cub, it would certainly have ticked off less hours than the prior 16 months!). Bare maintenance on the 127 for snow `n mow is all I get right now. 108 and Original are languishing...

Steve- Yeah, he's lots of fun. Seems to love all things with wheels. Every day, he demands to sit on the Cub, and in each of our vehicles. Also fun to watch their ability to learn in what seems an exponetial fashion. Makes you feel downright slow by comparison. Art- Ruling...

Bryan- Guess the question should have read are they shipped "sharp enough" for a season of mowing. Since the ones being replaced are more akin to the spinning 2x4 you mention, and you haven't had any problems out of the box, I'll take that as a "yes."

Speaking of decks, but I'm putting in an order from Ken U. this week for some new blades for the 42", and this may sound like a dumb question, but are they shipped sharpened?

Steve- Good to see Big Steve up and about. And little Steve looks like he's growing right into that 169. 16 mo. Jack's working his way down to the footrests himself: Pardon the small pic.
