On a Cub 149, I accidentally crossed the dark blue accessory wire to ground. Big Spark! Now my ammeter gauge is registering + voltage even with battery disconnected. Engine starts and runs and ammeter shows a higher than normal charge. When I disconnect the FLD. term from reg. it shows a normal...

Wayne S. and Jeff B, I got the drive shaft out of my 149 and did not have to move the engine. The drive hub at the engine is wallowd out so took it to have it beefed up by a better welder than I am. Also, did you say I should freeze the new pin and heat the shaft up when installing the new pin...

My sincere apologies to Jeff for mis-typing his name. I really do appreciate Jeff and Wayne's help with this drive shaft problem. I have not removed the shaft yet but plan to do so today after I smoke up some chicken Hope the rain stays away today.

Is there such a thing as either a pull behind or 3-point hitch slicer/seeder that can be used on a 149 or larger cub cadet?

Is there an auxilary hydraulic pump/system that can be added to a 149? Since I didn't get too many ideas on a steel fence post remover, maybe I'll try my hand at building one using hydraulics.

Kraig and others: thanks for info on the 2 stage snowblowers. I have a single stage that works good in dry snow but not good in wet snow. I spose nothing works in wet snow sept a blade. Kraig, wonder if that guy got a patent on that post driver?

I have 2 questions for the experts: Was there a two stage snow blower made to fit on the wide frame Cubs? If so, what was the model number? Also, has anyone come up with a great way to pound or dig steel fence posts And extract them using a 149 or 1650? Out here on the windy plains of...

Charlie, Kraig and Bryan: Thanks for the info. on what type of lube to use in a right angle gear box. Charlie, I am going to use your mixture because this box had grease every where but on the gears. Also, this box was a sealed unit without a fill plug.
