    CCC982

Be tough to pass on any 982 around here if it's cheap, but that looks like a nice 1872. I'd been looking long and hard for a super for a few years and ended up landing two 1872s within a few weeks in October. I thought I had a deal made on a 982 in August and the guy backed out on me at the...

What does the dash look like? I've got 706xxx, a 782

450 blower on 982 not lifting

Did you make that? I picked up an 1872 with a 450 a few months ago. I'm going through the tractor so I'm still using my 782/QA42 this winter. I don't recall that brace in my pile of parts.

    18 H.P Command or Magnum

I used the port for the sender on my KT in my 782. On my 1872 project I haven't decided if I'm going to put a T in for both the sender and oil PSI gauge, or just run the gauge and forget about the light. It'll probably come down to how much room there is to fit everything.

    782 Hydrostatic leak, Cork Seal?!

That's the small bottle, brown stuff that you brush on? I've used that elsewhere on other projects.

    782 Hydrostatic leak, Cork Seal?!

I read #94, what is everyone's consensus- use the anaerobic sealer or no? I haven't done a split yet but my 782 does need it done.

    Gardens 2023

You guys growing cucumbers (and gourds or pumpkins) what are you doing to protect them from cucumber beetles? I've lost several plants to beetles this year. In the past, I'd lose maybe one or two. This is out of probably 25 hills or so. My garden is really struggling with the dry spell we've...

    My ninth- 1980 582

I run my tiller about 3 hours a year. Prior to getting my zero turn, my mower ran 3-5 hours per week. Which causes more wear on the tractor?

Looking for some input on my 169.

I'll throw this in. I'd find an 1811 3 turn column to put in there myself.

Can you detail the Command conversion? I'm interested in how the clutch situation is handled.

    982 headlight frustrations

Yeah re-reading Mike's info again it is kind of hard to follow. If his lamp ground is shorted to voltage, when he put his jumper from the battery negative to the lamp negative side (again assuming the ground shorted to voltage) he'd be causing a short, but he didn't report that his jumper wire...

    982 headlight frustrations

Isn't the 12v just crossing the element to the negative side? The diagram doesn't show any splices on the ground side of the headlight circuit so I'm thinking the ground is broken off or that ground wire has corroded somewhere and is now open. I'd just do as already suggested and run a new...

New Member from NC - Cub 1864

The 48" and 54" decks have wide lift forks. I don't see them in that picture. I agree it's flipped but looks like the narrow 44/50 forks.

The mule forks pictured with that 54" deck don't look correct to me. Those look like 44/50c forks.

    Gardens 2022

So guys, I pulled my garlic 3 weeks ago, and currently drying, and potatoes will be ready soon, so how do you store them for the winter? I got 24 cloves of garlic, my 1st year growing it. I should also have alot of potatoes to put away. How do you guys keep them?

    Bearing Noise

Nope. But it can ruin more parts & the belt if you let it go.
