Allen, the engine cranks fine. The points open and close and are gapped. I changed all the wires, checked for continuity. I metered the - side of coil while cranking and the meter went haywire, registering all voltages between 0 and 12. I cleaned the terminals on the rectifier and checked...

JB Evans, did you shear a pin on your rockshaft? Take the tunnel cover off and watch all the components stroke and you can find your problem.

Frank Snerd, I have not been following your posts, but have a little insight. (because I just went through the same ordeal) Check for 12V on the + of the coil. Check for spark (high tension from the coil) when you crank. Watch your points and see if they spark while cranking. Change the wire...

Ken, I know it is getting spark and fuel. I have a new 330 CCA Diehard fully charged. Engine spins freely. When I turn the key to start, all I get is a click. I turn the S/G by hand 1/4 turn, then try again. Bingo, she motors. But if I stop and try again, all I get is the click again. I'm...

Difference in snowblowers QA42 and QA42A

Can anybody tell me the difference between QA42 and QA42A snowblowers? Some tractors will only accept the QA42, some only the QA42A and some both. Thanks.

    Questions about 1420

Hi again all. I'm still shopping for that perfect machine. I have an opportunity to buy a 1420. Is this machine classified as a lawn or garden tractor? I cannot find any specs on it anywhere. Was wondering if it had PTO, etc... Can anyone help? Thanks.

    Newbie needs help with snowblower

Hi everyone. New to the board. Glad to be here. I picked up a model 190-350 snowblower real cheap and now I'm starting to think about tractors. Which model tractors will this unit fit? The mounting rails are 11" apart. I would like one as powerful as possible. I'm assuming I need a PTO...
