Upgraded Mag 20 remote oil lines

Well, way back in 2017 I posted this: By Nic Bextermueller (Nbextermueller) on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 - 09:11 pm: Has anybody replaced the remote oil lines on a Mag18/20? Did you use OEM lines or use your stuff? Both my Mag 20's have leaky lines. I want to replace them, but not sure...

Interested in cleaner exhaust for your Mag 18 or 20?

SO I have a few posts over in the "Better than" threads about this, but I'm trying to gain more interest. My lungs don't tolerate the exhaust fumes like they used to (and I'm only 36) and my wife HATES the fact that I come in after mowing the grass smelling like burnt gasoline. And even if I...

Let's see how much attention this gets over here... My lungs can't quite take the fumes of my cubs like they used to. In fact, just a bit of exhaust fumes will usually send me into a coughing and gagging fit. So I want a new solution for my 782 (w/ Mag20) and my 2072 (also w/Mag20) So... I...

"Upgrading" a 2072 alum rearend to cast iron?

So after the debacle of a overly wobbly CV driveshaft in my 2072, the pump now has a whine in it and groans when I turn the power steering. So I assume I hurt the pump in some way. 1. Are the Sunstrand pumps rebuildable and/or affordable to rebuild? Or should I be on the look out for a good...

Harry, surely you have been around Union Carpenters. A 1 1/2" tolerance is absolutely an acceptable number to them. As my union carpenter friends ALWAYS said about their job site: "I can't see it from my house!"

I don't think any of the original engineers/designers were considering these tractors were still going to be mowing grass 40-50 years later when considering where to put grease zerks. A subframe wearing out after this long just needs to be repaired or replaced. Just like today's mowers...

Charlie! Your no longer "Digger"? I almost didn't even notice it was you posting. Al, there is a lot more than just on/off on the PTO switch. All circuits must be working properly or it won't fire. Although the, my guess is points. They are on the left side, near the front of the engine...

Yeah... Pullers regularly put 50+ hp or more into a standard cub rear. The gears do fine. It bends shift forks and shatters the ring gear carrier long before the gears or case give up. But there is obviously bullet proof fixes for both those issues.

    Liquid cooled 2086???

So a guy just posted a 2086 on CL for sale, threatening to part it out. The weird thing is it looks like a Kohler Command 20hp but it has a radiator mounted rear of the engine and liquid cooled style heads. Was the 2086 a liquid cooled gas engine machine? It can be found in the St. Louis...

    1989 CCC 2072 just turned 1250hrs!

Well technically 1251.7 It has the original Mag20 in it that as far as I can tell has never been opened up. I got it from a guy who brought it home from a local water treatment plant. (They had bought it new) He used it twice then decided it was far to large for his 1/3 acre lot... LOL. I...

    YouTube TractorSpotter

This is my new favorite YouTube channel! It's mostly European tractors, but my goodness do that have crazy and unique machines. Those farmers build very specific one-of-a-kind machines to do one type of harvest or job. Lots of crazy Trikes harvesters of every kind. You have to spend some time...

Modern Cyber Warfare has no limits

Some of you may know I own and operate Panther Pulling. A Garden tractor pulling Assc. (www.pantherpulling.com) As any good owner would do I track all of my web traffic to see what's working, what's not, blah blah blah. Here's where the OBVIOUS sign of modern cyber warfare at it's best. In...

    Snowplow subframe for a Super?

If you read my other thread, you'll know I got a 54" plow for my 2072. I guess I've been had cause the subframe seems to be for a std GT. So what does a super subframe look like or am I totally missing how this hooks up?

Super P/S ram for hydro angle blade?

I finally have a 54" blade for my 2072. Now I really want hydro angle on it. I have a full P/S setup from a parted cyclops Super. Could I use the steering ram on the blade if I made all my own brackets? Does it have enough swing and guts to hold up to plowing? Secondly, SHOULD I part a...

Wow... That's some really, really long winded post about Onan's. I think the short version would say, "when it's worn out, replace it with a Kohler." No way am I going to fabricate parts from scratch to put lipstick in a pig. I believe the original post was asking about replacing an Onan...

    1862 options?

So it looks like I'm going to be picking up an 1862 (cyclops) on Monday. I'm buying for the Mag 18 and a 54" snow plow/blade. My question is, it should have power steering and a super steer axle on it right? It also come with a 50" High tunnel GT deck that has been used 2 times. It was bought...

    782 Power steering conversion

First off, i did use the search function and only found one post on this from '06 that had no replies... So I was hoping to get some pictures for me to reference. I have a P/S setup from a cyclops that I intended to bolt on my 782 after clearancing the foot rest. But turns out the left front...
