    Removing head studs from K321

Better yet, take to an automotive machine shop and let them remove. Can save your threads or thay can install heli-coils to prevent loosening after running several hours. My K241 on Lincoln weldanpower had two stuck and broke using jam nuts. $30 pretty cheap repair.

    Back in the saddle

Don't forget to recondition the cylinder after boring. If not when running, all the crankcase oil will be sucked past piston rings and burn in compression stroke. After a time of running the engine will lock up. Don't depend on machine shop saying it was done! Like another guy posted a few days...

    cub cadet tractors

Sorry about your medical issues, been going through the same situation for the last 14 years. I'm still here though. Would you happen to have any parts for a 76 anniversary model? My hood is pretty much trash. Cuts really nice and level. Would like to find extra deck spindles too. Thanks Mike

I was at a salvage yard today. I saw an international tractor toy rider. Made of aluminum, little over 2 feet long, about 1-1/2 foot tall. Does anyone know if this thing needs to escape the smelter?

    New cadet 76 owner

I just used my 76 for the first time today. It is a really good little mower. Cuts the grass and does not hack it off like my cousins JD. I was really impressed with the speed and cutting quality for such an old mower. 2nd gear and half throttle is as fast as anyone needs to cut a yard...

Thanks Frank I had not thought about the coil, I'll change it out and see. My brother told me to run it until it stops turing, he said it's almost as old as I am. haha I bought this one from a guy who broke his leg and is out of work. Really didn't want it. Has a 16hp kohler on it. Took...

Kent Check your fuel line. Try to re-route it to an area away from any heat source. Sometimes, when fuel lines are subject to heat, the fuel will boil inside the line (vapor lock). Also, I would check your head bolt torque. A friend's machine had the same sympoms a few years back. After...

Hello Charlie It came with a 12 hp kohler. The 16 shreaded the flex engine plate. Just thought it might need a little extra hump. Did'nt know if anyone had changed engines before and had a problem. Don't want to spend $120 everytime it gets in a pull.

I bought a 1200 with a 16 hp kohler in it. The engine drive plate was shreaded. I bought a solid drive plate with stationary bushing. What I am thinking of doing is, have the solid drive plate bushing center machined out to the same id as the flex plate was. That will facilitate the floating...

Thanks Myron I have already found Kirk's cradle upgrade and have the metal cut in the shop. Brian Miller builds drive clutch assemblies. The guy here in Indiana that has so many cubs told me to use the solid plate. I didn't think it was a good idea, thats why I posted and asked. I didn't...
