It will turn over, but it won't fire.

Bought an O from a guy several years back. He said it would turn over but it wouldn't fire. Been sitting for years under a tarp. Decided to go through the carb, in order to begin trying to get it running again. Well, today was the day. Worked on freeing up the choke and butterfly valve. Then...

    Paint repair/body work question

I have a question for all the professional painters and body shop people on this site. My truck just got "keyed" by some low life scum bag. The scratches were evidently done by some type of steel, because they are pretty deep. There are two marks evenly spaced about 1/2" apart and about 10 to...

    Cub 1000 Walbro carb issues

Working on a 1000 that has a walbro carb on it. Starts fine, and runs fine until the front pto is engaged. Then the governor kicks in and gas starts spraying out of the carb. It acts like the gas flow increases, bogging the motor. Anybody have this problem?

    147 motor in a 149

    Will a 147 motor fit in a 149 without modifications? I know the 147 is a NF and a 149 is a WF. That's why i'm asking.

    Hydro tractor question

I am an early, early gear drive cub guy, so I need some info on this. Been looking at the 149 and 169 tractors. Was the hydraulic lift on these tractors optional? I noticed some have the hydraulic lift, and others have the manual lift. Don't make sense to have a manual lift on a hydro tractor...

Trying to bring a 1000 back to life

On a 1000: Is the air filter housing to carb gasket still available? I looked on CCSpecialties, but could not find it. The parts lookup gave the # KH-47-041-02 superseded to #KH-45-041-07. Is this # correct? It also has a replacement walbro carb on it, and I think the air filter housing is now...

    Brinly plow

Near the bottom of the standard assy. bar on a Brinly plow, there is a tab with a bolt through it. What is this bolt for? Here is a pic of that tab with no bolt.

    Four digit original

Decided to bring the four digit O into the basement. Hopefully this one won't take as long as the 100 did. This is most of it, as I have already taken some stuff off of it. Pitiful little fella.

They must have carried it out to that field to turn it on it's side. There's no grass or dirt on the wheels. Is he wearing high top Converse tennis shoes, or lace up boots?

OK archive bug, you got me. Back when we used to get snow, I plowed mine with no weights or chains. I just used loaded tires.

Nate, What is that thing? Has a lot of white on it to be a mouse. Tim, Ron is right. One part thinner to 8 parts paint. Just don't forget to put in some hardener also, unless you want to let it dry for months! I usually mix 16 oz. paint, 2 oz. thinner, and 1 oz. hardener at a time...

Marlin, Glad to see your post also. Is that Power Pup a member of the Power King family? Earl, Glad you are OK.(mostly) I don't know what to recommend about keeping someone from hitting you. I can say a .357 or .38+P may keep them from running away! That is what I pretty much...

Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy knowing I was right! Here's a pic of one, Mike: I just happen to have one. It's listed online for $5.66. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. The switch is a 30 amp switch. That's probably why the P.O. had a 30 amp fuse in it.
