    149 wideframe Valve mounting plate

Correct. Mine now looks like this. Thanks Kraig for the offer of checking on the p/n. I decided to run up to a local fab-n-weld shop that opened up recently. They will have new threaded rods welded up for me by tomorrow morning. Cant beat that.

    149 wideframe Valve mounting plate

While going over the 149 and doing some repairs I found the two studs on the hydraulic valve mounting plate sheared off. These are the studs the valve assembly bolts to, and the plate in turn bolts to the side of the dash tower. Turns out the IH parts manual doesnt even have a part number for...

I just did this last week on my 1650 project tractor. In the end splitting the tractor was the easiest for me, and I had to do it twice since I was swapping out the rear axle case as well due to the PO busting out the lower casting bolt holes by using bolts that were too long. I used a jack...

When I bought it, the PO had a car battery in it. He used some wood spacers under the front hinge mount and longer bolts in the back. It sits level, but gives just enough clearance for the bigger battery. Since it seems to be working ok, I just left it as is.

Bryan, I'm not sure what the -100 suffix means either. Maybe they up-reved it to add more mounting holes or something... :-) (Message edited by jeaston on December 06, 2004)

Bryan, I thought thats what the "armed rangers" were for, one to hold the umbrella and the other to hold the flashlight... :-) If I cant borrow my co-workers trailer I may just bring the car.

Weather guessers say chance of rain Friday, but sunny Saturday and Sunday. Any pre-registration forms to fill out or can we just show up Friday with a trailer load? :-)

I saw a Yellow and White 782 at the Walworth Co. fair a couple of weeks ago. It had a thick black stripe and a large lettered Hydro on the side with the 782 numbers. It had the CCC decal on the back too. It was hauling ice in a little trailer for the vendors. Both times I saw it it was...

Bryan, That looks pretty cool. Did the sled advanced like a full size one does or was it just pulling dead weight?

The Lake County (IL) Farm Heritage Festival this weekend is advertising "Weed Wacker Puller Races". Anybody ever heard of this before? I assume you yank the motor out of your old weed wacker and put it in something like an old RC car chassis(?) Is there a rule book for this kind of...

I talked to Gene for a little bit before he left this morning. Turns out he lives just a couple of mile from my Inlaws down in Ottawa, and he has quite a collection of cub cadets. I guess that explains why I never see any around when I go to visit... :-) Like Tedd said, the output of the...
