I did a search in the vault for a picture of my 4 wheel drive truck I got running tonight. I searched my user name, it said I had 1499 posts, I hate odd numbers.

Thats how the CRS works, 10, 20, 30 years ago is like 10 minutes ago sometimes. Trouble is 10 minutes ago can be like 10, 20, 30 years ago.

Along the same note, I have an 83 dodge with a 4" lift and 33's. When I put that truck together about 10 years ago I could throw the spare next to it and climb into the engine compartment, stand on a frame rail and do whatever needed done in there. I parked it when the price of gas hit 4 bucks...

    1706 ?

Alright I've looked in the parts look-up it said it wasn't a valid number. Nothing on flea-bay, no manuals that I can find. Looks like a gear drive with hydraulics, how'd they do that?

Steven B, the 1650 series is considered a wide frame the 82 series is a spread frame isn't it?

    Oops

I got in a hurry last year and thought the front clutch on my 72 had worked itself out of adjustment, I got in a hurry and didn't look at the front clutch, I just tightened up the turnbuckle. What had acuallly happened was the fiber button had broke off. Before I caught it the vertical arm had...

I remember the old elevators I was around almost always had a PTO shaft that could be changed from side to side. I never saw it done but I don't see why a cub couldn't pull one. just to much time on my hands to think

    Safety

It was mentioned on the main board that we needed a list for safety. I'm gonna add to it and say with personal expirience. I'll start with a recent safety issue. It involves a front axle pin, a 3 pound short handled maul, a 12 inch drift punch. "DO" not miss

    Pickers

I seen a show last night called pickers on Discovery, anybody else? Anybody catch the 124/5 in the trailer. They only stayed on it for about 3 seconds, at the farm where they got the vespa. I think thier out of the Quad cities, I know where Bear lives. Just thought it was cool.

Scott, You didn't ask but from expirience if your planning on pulling or pushing anything big try and put the tires on dry, The first year I had the plow on the the 149 I was on virgin sod and spun a wheel inside the rim. Local pulller told me about the dry rim fix. It's not as big an issue if...

    New Job #2

I just talked to my son who is going for a job interview tomorrow. I don't know if you all have noticed but I have a different sence of humor. His interview is with a company called FOCUS, apperantlly telemarketing, I reminded him of his ADHD, and then went through his first call with him. Hello...

Kraig, Ryan. Mabey I am set in my ways and I read the text too. I still believe the locking should be locked into the direction of rotation. I been doing it that way for a long time and never had one come loose. If you tighten it with the direction of rotation everytime the engine fires it tries...

I got laid off Dec. 16. Tonight about 7:30 I got a call to start at a factory in Dixon, IL. I got a part time job that I'm gonna keep at least for a while, but this is full time. I'm just, really ok right now.

Ryan, I got all my ideas for floating over ground from a local sod farm. they had a 4000 ford with 20.8 rear rubber and huge front tires I never got close enough to get the size off of. It looked strange but he could drive across a sod field and leave no impression pulling 8 or 10 gangs of real...
