Henri, Brian, Kentucky Ken, Henri, I havent had any luck locating them at an IH/case or any CC dealers in my area. If you can find me one or more, so I have a spare, I will send you a check/Money order to cover the cost, postage, and your time. Need these as soon as possible to get the mower...

Glen M, I was perplexed by this same issue until I checked my repair manual. There are six allen head set screws. There are TWO in each hole. After you take out the first set of three you can reach back in the hole with an allen head wrench and take out the second set of three. It's like double...

I am looking for a part that is listed as no longer available through CC dealers. The part I am looking for is the top spindle nut/grease fitting for the center pulley on a IH 42 inch rotary mower. The part number I came up with is IH 473435-R2. Anybody know where I can get this part or what I...

Charlie Proctor, Thanks for straightening out my registry information. Couple of questions for the mechanics. 124 Model 1) Blue Ribbon manual states I need to pull the motor to change the throwout bearing. Do I need to pull it or can I knock the pins out, slide the engine forward and remove...

    Cub Lo Boys

Good afternoon, I recently purchased a 154 Lo Boy equipped with a 3-point and creeper options. If anyone is tracking the serial numbers to see where they are and how many are still in service I will gladly share that info. Please tell me where the serial number is located on the chassis...

    Cub Lo Boys

Hi guys, I own a 124 Cadet and it just doesn't have the ability to do the work I require. Post hole digger, box blade, possibly a front end loader. I am in the process of aquiring a 154 Low Boy with creeper gear and a hydraulic 3-point hitch. Does anyone know the total length and width of a...

Charlie p. Looking back at the earlier post, I now see the hydraulic pump and control assembly that drives the post hole digger. I guess I crossed the line for (sale/wanted) items. I accept my punishment. I will be more careful in the future. Thanks for editing out the bad parts and not zapping...

Charlie P. That post hole digger is a sweet looking set up. I found the Danuser site, but saw nothing that looked like the unit in the picture. Also do you know what drives the digger, hydraulics, CC mounted hydraulic pump or rear pto? David in Dayton, TX (Message edited by dmcnair on...

Did CC or one of the implement companies ever make a post hole digger that could run off a Narrow Frame tractor? I don't currently have a rear PTO on my 124, but if that's how they ran it I would find the parts and make it work. I would like some info if anyone has ever seen one, or made one...

Wyatt, I just pulled the 321 head and did a visual comparison to the 301 head. You were dead on about the larger exhaust valve in the 321. The 321 head has more metal removed from the combustion chamber to allow for clearance of the larger exhaust valve. The 301 head will not work unless it was...

Wyatt, Thank you for the reply. I will pull the 321 head and compare it to the 301 for volume and valve clearance. What did you use for the spacers to bring the head bolts up to the proper level, stacked washers, or a piece of pipe cut to length? David in Dayton, TX

Question for the CC engine swap guys. will the head off my CC 301A engine fit on the 321AQS engine I installed in my 124? Will there be any problems with the bolt pattern or valve to head clearance? I noticed the spark plug is in a different position on the 321. Anybody know why they moved it...

Good afternoon, I got the K321AQS in my 124. Had to change out the flywheel, fan screen and fan shroud to allow it to fit the NF tractor. It is running just fine, no smoke and no knocking. This engine came out of a green brand of tractor. I noticed that my old tin won't fit the top of the head...

Dave K. and others, I measured the clearance and guessed that the 23 X 10.5-12 Carlisle Super Lugs would fit under the fenders and have side clearance when mounted on my 124 stock rims. I bought them and had them mounted today. Bolted the wheels back on and away I go. I hope these do the trick...

Thanks for the input on the tires. I guess I will go with the 8.50 Carlisle Super Lug. The ground here is real squishy when the clay gets saturated. I thought a little wider would be better to support the weight of one of these tractors. I tend to sink and dig ruts in the soft spots.

Good afternoon, Looking for some advice on an Ag-Lug tire. I use a Model 124 with a Brinly scraper blade to level out sand and dirt. The original turf tires do not provide enough traction on the slick Texas clay to allow me to pull much of a load without spinning my wheels. What is the largest...

Kraig, Thanks for the pics of the spring assist lift assemblies. I have the CC spring assist for the 3-point on the tractor. The spring just doesn't have quite enough tension to offset the weight of the scraper blade. I was hoping to see something I could bolt on and use only when the blade was...

Good afternoon, I have recently found a donor engine to put in my 124. It is a K321 AQS out of a green machine. I had to change out the bearing plate and flywheel to make it fit the narrow frame. Question #1 Anyone see a problem with this conversion? Question #2 The green machine motor has a...

K301 engine rebuild problem. I found the source of the knock in the engine after pulling it from the tractor and removing the oil pan. The connecting rod has play in it at the crank jounal. It is tight at TDC and BDC, but noticeably loose mid way through the stroke when crank is turned either...
