    CC 102 mulching blades

Searched our site for mulching blades, no results. Have the oem 42" mower, two shorter blades and one longer. It may not be designed for mulching. Still, anyone know of a manufacturer? Thanks, Jack

    Battery cut-off swt

We hear much lately about e-bike repair shop fires caused by batteries. My CC 102 was built in '67 and I'm the second owner. The wiring is so good that it must have been replaced by the first guy. Tractor is kept in a wooden 12x10 shed in the yard. When and if the battery needs charging I...

Look - IH cub cadet decals....

You're an advertiser and wanting to sell something. I think you belong at the top of Forum pages with other advertisers and not down here with the rest of us shlubs who are just trying to keep our Cubs (and your Cubs) running and not needing to be paid; not selling something. Jack

    Mower deck wheels, shoulder bolts

On the CCS site, I ordered 7" Arnold Steel wheels # 750-GO-490-321-001 and two slots below are the shoulder bolts #IH-479427-R91. These were to fit the oem mower on my CC 102; the site shows two types of bolts to fit either steel or plastic wheels. The bolts I got do not fit a steel wheel...

    Coil is hot

Tractor, Cub 102 has not run for 5-6 days. Today, I left the ignition turned on while working on carb adjustment, not running engine. That coil will give a serious burn. I disconnected the battery. Know that coils can warm up in normal use but not like this. Help please, Jack

    K241 carb

Digger out of stock for a carb for my CC102. Don't want a $25 Chinese model. Where to buy something USA? Thanks, Cheers, Jack

    Battery disconnect swt

I'm the second owner of a CC102, no contact with the first guy. So, it's 57 yrs old, no reason to think it was not garage kept. Read recently on these pages of rotted wiring on tractors not as old as mine. Was the rot caused by living outdoors in freeze-ass cold and mind-warping heat? It...

    K241 Carb

Had the carb off for cleaning, replaced gasket. In the throat is a number - 26. I had complained about slow cranking but that ended with new head gasket and proper torque (30 lbs) of the nine bolts. Now to set proper idle of the two needles. Engine warmed up, start with low idle at 2 1/2...

    Slow Cranking K241

I've whined on these pages about my slow cranking CC 102. Engine starts, runs good but is something wrong? Then I saw three videos of guys demonstrating their snowthrowers....each tractor of 70'-80's vintage. All cranked slow. So, I need to accept that my K241 does the same. Right? I'm the...

    Solenoid

Went to startup the Cub 102 and get two clicks, nothing more. Strong battery. Go right to the solenoid and clean rust off the top and side terminals. Bottom terminal was clean. Try starting and now get one click, no more. Not finding a solenoid on Digger's site, maybe listed under another...

    Lifts, Electric, Hydraulic

Have a CC 102, all gear drive, no creeper, no pto's, with 42" mower. Everything tight, no funny noises, did a real good cosmetic re-furb. Thinking ahead, could be interested in a lift, either electric or hydra. I find "Operators Manual Installing instructions hydraulic unit (395 009 R92) "...

    Paint

Digger's paint : Federal yellow 991084R2LF at $37 CC Yellow 759-3263 at $51 and CC Yellow 759 at $52.88 What the differences? Is there a better paint? Thanks, Jack

    Bosch Blue coil

I have a Cub Cadet 102 with what looks like an oem coil. The K241 engine cranks a bit slow, 2-3 seconds, but always starts. Strong battery. Coil is attached to engine as you can see in pix and with multimeter I tested resistance, numbers flying all over. Was hoping against hope for 3.5 ohms...

Mower drive belt Cub Cadet 102

Paid no attention to old belt, have new one from Digger. Now, how to install? Am lost. In the 4th pic see the blue pen....it points to a long piece of steel that sits in front but not attached to pulley. What is its purpose? Must I remove the pulley to get the belt on? Thanks for any help. Jack

    Two Cylinder Engine

For my Cub Cadet 102, what is the best or near best two cyl engine. Prefer Kohler. Cheers, Jack

    Mower Drive Belt

Have a CC 102 with 42" mower, have every reason to think the mower is OEM. I just got around (after some restoration) to hooking up the mower. My local shop installed the wrong belt; the adjustment nut cannot be tightened any further, belt hops right off. It is a POWERATED 6883, 1/2" thick...

    Oil Change Aid

Have a CC 102 with Kohler K241 engine. Changing oil is fussy, too much iron in the way. Not finding a hose on Drainzit site; a simple 90degree elbow would work but dont know the NPT. Cheers, Jack

    CC 102 serial number

My tractor came with a 102 decal and I have no reason to think it not a 102....looks like any 102 seen on these pages. Thought my serial number is 202431, embossed on the rear of the axle/trans case....but seemingly not according to the graphic I found. Read somewhere where the s/n is under...

    CC 102 Restored, almost

Bought this with the hood needing refinishing, was passable but I'm a fusspot so the decals had to go. Like to find a site that offers just the long 'Cub Cadet' and '102' decals. Just those two decals. Any ideas? Main reason for buying was there no evidence of ever having front/rear pto's...

CC 102 mower spring loaded idler pulley

Nearly nuttin' about this type of idler pulley in the manuals - must be an optional extra. Mower had some rotted parts. The belt is new, measured against the old belt. In the closeup, you can see the end of the spring. I'm strong but cannot get the spring in position to attach to the idler...
