    Primer on engine ?

I also agree. I'm not interested in ceramic coating anything on this cub. I certainly want a nice tractor when done but something I can drive and use if needed. I might take it to local fairs or tractor shows but I not building a museum piece. What was good enough for IH is good enough for me.

    Primer on engine ?

My only concern at this point is if the primer sealer i am using will be resistant to heat enough to stay on. Has anyone used the JD Buff Primer Sealer on a small engine ? I have seen replacement engine blocks and other assemblies in the JD primer sealer when i worked for a JOHN DEERE...

    Primer on engine ?

Point taken. So far, no primer on the engine block , prime only the engine sheetmetal with high temp primer , and possibly will be ok using Ironguard paint with hardner ??

    Primer on engine ?

Would it be advisable to use primer on the engine? I use JD Buff Yellow primer sealer on most all the other parts. What does everyone else do ?

    Reduction housing casting

Hello guy. I'm in the process of replacing the brake pucks on a cub 100. During disassembly I found the casting in the reduction housing lower bolt holes to be open to the threaded holes. Is this normal?

    Crankchaft Interchange?

Ok. The one I took out didn't have the threaded flywheel end. All the ones I've seen online is like the one you have. Thank you for the picture.

    Crankchaft Interchange?

Does anyone know if these crankshaft will interchange? Kohler k241. Will the threaded end be a problem with the clutch operation? The picture is a little deceiving , they are the same other than the threaded flywheel end beening threaded.

The 102 was rescued from a teenage puller. And the 100 i agree to buy from a photo. The 102 was setting in the woods with a blown engine. The 100 was in a shed with an engine knock.
