    Hello from MI

I tilled the garden today. I'm impressed.

    Hello from MI

I was tilling a section of lawn that the gas company dug up last fall. I made that side engine tin since it was missing. Not my best work but it'd functional.

    Hello from MI

I used that tiller yesterday and the mule drive snapped. Anyone seen that happen before? I have another one but it doesn't have the spring tensioner. I think it will still work.

It doesn't look nice built mechanically it's sound. That's what is important.

    Hello from MI

I've avoided going to the UP this winter. I've been meaning to get up there soon. I have property out by Houghton, MI. I don't think that one will get a full restoration. I think I will fix it mechanically, and use it as a work horse. When I purchased it I never thought it would run. I really...

    Hello from MI

All weekend there was snow on the ground. Today the snow melted. I worked on that old 149 with the tiller. It works and works good. Can't wait to use it more. Still needs some work but this test proves it worth fixing more.

    Hello from MI

I worked on that 149 with the tiller today. It needed a head gasket, voltage regulator, a bunch of wiring work, oil change, some carb adjustments and cleaning. I got it up and running nice. Still needs a muffler, hood, and various trim pieces. The old voltage regulator didn't even have a...

    Hello from MI

I had my 100 sand blasted. It turned out great. The guy even came to my house. You can see my 2012 GTX in this picture as well. It's well worth the cost. I couldn't imagine removing all the paint by hand on one of these. The sand blasting does a great job.

    Hello from MI

Ain't that the truth. I've found even 40+ years later these old Cubs can still out work the newer ones.

    Hello from MI

Yes this fleet will keep you busy. The 782 does the most work, and needs the most maintenance and repairs. I cut over a mile of ATV trails with it in my backyard. The 100 is just for shows. My newest 149 with a tiller. I got it into the garage today and started working on it. It's a mess. It...

    Hello from MI

Thanks for the welcome. This site looks like it has some good information for working on these. I restored that Cub Cadet 100 back in 2018. I purchased old manuals for information. The rest I have found locally, some even from the same dealer, and those 149s are 1 year apart from the same...

    Hello from MI

I have a few Cub Cadets. A 100, that has been fully restored. A 782 that's been repowered with a magnum 18hp. A 149 that came from the original owner with a bunch of attachments. I put a blade on it this winter and pushed some snow. I recently picked up a 149 with a tiller. It's been used hard...
