    I was just putting my cub cadet 147 back together and noticed there are slots on the bottom of the axle where the spindles go in . Does anyone know what these slots are for. I assumed they were there to aid in the cast process. just curious. Thank you to all who respond. Rick

    i picked up a 147 to restore and it came with a snowblower. I removed every nut,bolt,and part on the rusty old snowblower. What a difference some TLC and hard work make.     The dissembling is almost done

    Almost finished the dissemble part of my 147 restoration project. I can’t believe the power of rust. Some parts were so seized I was hours getting them off /apart.
