hopefully this does not get me banned - not sure of the rules for referencing other sites. I have found that P and P small engines site has a really nice pretty comprehensive listing of manuals for virtually all the cub cadet models. https://pandpsmallengines.com/pages/cub-cadet-manuals I have...

I don't know the brand of the CC connectors, maybe someone here does. based on the age I would check aptiv (they own the former delphi), amphenol, Molex, or maybe TE connectivity. those are the big four I remember. they may have an equivalent. Cub ( think MTD at the time of the 2182) could...

i know you want an original harness but I dont think the harness is that complicated. do you have or need the wiring diagrams?

    wire harness

there is at least one plug termination that is not easily soured. I repaired my (106) harness several times over the years as the insulation deteriorated. I purchased a harness from CC specialties many years ago. it has been flawless since and the installation was very simple. I did however...

Parts Wanted 2082 super cub auxiliary hydraulic circuit

For me the most cost effective way to get one was to buy a tractor with it installed. I took the parts I wanted and resold the tractor after a light refurb. Bearings, belts, a seat and paint. Most of us have enough parts on our shelves to do a rebuild. This was the case for me. Of course the...

    Do Carburetors wear out?

I keep the cub cadet stuff on my shelf since I never plan on getting rid of them anyway. As the addiction goes sometimes there is simply a complete back up tractor around…or several in addition to the parts !

    Do Carburetors wear out?

as stated above price, but also the issue is the parts or even complete kits are not stocked as often as some of the asian full replacement carbs are. I have a yamaha G2 gas golf cart that needed a carb rebuild and after waiting on the parts for two weeks I bought a ama%$* chinese carb for less...

    Best Carb Cleaner

I am gonna throw myself in the line of fire, but...I have used Pinesol - overnight soak with impressive results. it seems to work well even after about 4-5 hours. I have much more aggressive cleaning equipment in my shop but the pinesol does a good job and I dont have to break out the shampoo (...

The biggest Cub Cadet garden tractor?

no matter what Cyclops you buy I would highly suggest cleaning every electrical connector and every ground on the vehicle. They may not be as "big" being 17hp and 21hp but I prefer the Kubota powered cyclops 1782/2182 or the 982(19hp). the cyclops' plastics are the weak point. Highly optioned...

    cleaning threads on exhaust port.

first, I am wrong, I broke out the machinery's handbook! BSPT is 11 threads per inch (1" and larger diameter thread) and NPT is 11.5 threads per inch (on a 1" to 2" diameter threads) I use mostly 1/2-3/4 NPT and BSPT - they have the same pitch 14 (still different thread angles 55 and 60) this...

    cleaning threads on exhaust port.

I I believe NPT and BSPT are the same thread pitch. the angle of the thread is 60 vs 55 degrees and the thread peaks and valleys are flat vs round. as far as I know US and Canada are the only ones on NPT the rest of the world is BSP/BSPT.
