2072 with Haben 60” mower deck

Not thru the fender! :errrr: There is a rod that runs across the frame and has a bolt hole in it that a bolt runs thru the fender to help hold the fender in place.

2072 with Haben 60” mower deck

If your good with a welder I'd weld up those areas that are worn on both ends of the deck hanger and the brake rod underneath. I can't recall if the deck hanger goes around the brake rod or if there is another rod for the fender. There should be one bolt going thru the fender by the heal of...

    1X9/8 Grille insert springs

Hi Guys, I'm further working on the 169 and just wondering if this is how the grille springs are suppose to attach? I don't see any wear in this area from a previous spring. Is there something missing or broken? The grille insert was held in with bolts and nylon lock nuts. Also, has anyone...

Part # for throttle shaft repair kit

Got my McMaster package today. Put two bronze thrust washers in by tapping them in with a wooden hammer and a clevis pin with a 7/16" diameter head. Had to hit the top inside edge with my deburring tool to get the shaft to fit. Very nice fit and the shaft rotates nice and smooth. I want to...

Part # for throttle shaft repair kit

Hi Guys, I'm looking for the part # that I need to repair my throttle shaft on my 169 Cub Cadet. I'm having trouble finding the correct part #. I know I can get a bronze bushing from the Hilman's fasteners at my local hardware store, but they don't stock the correct size. Thanks, Jim

169 mystery part for throttle cable

Ah! Ok. It must be a replacement clip if you loose the other style, as I'm assuming they didn't make them or stock them after production.

169 mystery part for throttle cable

Does anyone know where part # 4 attaches to? I believe it goes around the throttle cable but not sure where the mounting hole is suppose to attach to.... It has a Kohler part # and figure it attaches to the engine somewhere to keep the throttle cable out of the way of something but not sure...

Need picture of 169 throttle and choke bracket hook ups

Does anyone have a picture of the carburetor side of the engine showing how the throttle and choke cable brackets are bolted to the side of the engine block? Also, Does anyone have the proper wire gauge size and colors for the maintenance minder for the 169? Couldn't find any pictures of...

So a friend sent me a text..

There is not much left to the old harness. I can take a picture and post but I think the only thing left original is the thick red cable from the solenoid to the starter. Wires to the amp meter, hour meter, and coil/regulator. Everything else was hacked. I did a search on ebay for 725-3081...

So a friend sent me a text..

Seller says its for a 725-3081and insist that it is. There are two tags that have different numbers on them. They are a bit faded but can be read. I tried to look it up on the cub cadet website hoping to match the numbers up to know what it is but no match. 725-3070 and 725-3069. :drool2...

So a friend sent me a text..

I just got the wiring harness. It is not the correct one. :bash: I have no idea what it is for. Way too many connections and a few different types of plug ends. Hopefully I can get a refund on this. Back to searching.

So a friend sent me a text..

Working at it this week stripping it down more. Here's a more up close view of the wiring. Did find a NOS wire harness and it's on it's way. Hopefully it is the correct one. I thought the hard part was going to be removing the lift handle from the rock shaft and removing the rock...

So a friend sent me a text..

Been tearing it down a bit when the weather is reasonable. Looks like I should just find a hydro replacement pump. Here is the modification to the Trunion. Also, the input shaft is wallowed out. The drive shaft was whipping. I think someone made a drive shaft and didn't keep the coupling...
