Steve, that was very well said. I could just turn my son loose behind your son and I wouldn't have to watch him like a hawk even though he did pretty well for 5 years old. He thinks he needs a 2 bottom but I said the 12" works just fine lol.
I will be attending again this year bringing my son along for the first time. He's going to be doing all the plowing on his off color tractor that we just installed power steering on to make it easier for him to control. This is always a good time.
Wyatt, I have a off color green tractor that I put a K341 in been running the stock 12hp air cleaner I was thinking about putting one off a 169 on for more air after reading your post maybe I need to find one off something else like a 400 JD possibly?? I'm not sure what I should use any thoughts?
Charlie, would the rockshaft off the 147 also work on the 73? If so I could switch them out.I know the wiring would be the other thing that needs changed. I need a new wiring harness anyhow could I order one from a 147 and make it work perhaps?
Guys, I have a couple questions I'm restoring a model 73 to use as my plowing tractor at plowdays was wondering if the electric lift off my 147 parts tractor would work on a 73 I know hydraulic lift would be better but this is what I have. I do have the lift assist spring if that helps. I also...
Guys, long time looker first time poster I'm going to look at a 147 this weekend wondered what the standard rear tire size was? I've seen some with 8.5's and also with 10.5's wasn't sure which was correct.
