James M. I have used 3/8 rope to get a belt length in the past. Seemed to work really well plus it's pretty close to the actual belt width. Just my 2 cents worth. Good luck

    Scrappy came, Shadow went

Frank...Sorry to hear about your loss of Shadow. We too just lost our 2 1/2 y.o. German Shorthair Pointer. I feel your pain. We just take it a day at a time. Wish you the best.

Earl...My experience with the coil on my 122 was it was running fine then quit. I found they either work or they don't. I would check the spark plug, possibly going bad.If it's a Champion, throw it away(MHO).I run NGK B6L stock #3212.Good luck.

Cletus E. I have a CH18S in my 1864. I haven't run it any amount of time because I'm still in the refurbish stage. It runs good and sounds strong. It is a Command engine and I've heard good things about them, but like you, I'm a little skeptical. I'm used to the Magnums. My opinion it's worth the...

Dave C....Thanks for your suggestion. That was my initial thought as well. I haven't looked at it real close yet. Harry B... I like your idea of making it heavier/stronger. I guess I can't complain to much since it's taken about 50 yrs give or take to break.

OK guys...Got a question about my 122. The ground clutch went out today, which I knew was gonna happen. Here is the real problem, the bottom front part of the pedestal has broke on both sides. Short of replacing the whole pedestal , has anyone got any suggestions or ideas on how to replace or...

Harry..Thanks for the input. I do have flat ground so that won't be an issue. A Stage II would be nice or maybe even an 18 Magnum.
