    Have you read section 9? Proper cranking speed less that 600 RPM, is needed to make it work as designed. ACR operation is a function of the cam and ACR spring. Are you sure the spring is not missing, broken or not properly in place? Does the engine still crank slow in a no-compression mode...

    Did you static time it during the rebuild while it was still on your bench. That's the very last thing you should do before installation back into the frame. Rebuilt the S/G? What all did that entail? Just curious.

    What do you mean by "the carb sprays"? Maybe the exhaust valve is sticking a bit on the compression stroke or it is bad like not sealing properly. Haven you had the head off, or the breather to check for proper valve clearance and operation? How many hours are on this unit!!

    Bob, just be careful you don't "stab" the rotator instead of getting UNDER it! If you mistakenly "stab" it you will be looking for another rotator!! And don't lose the tiny "keepers" A dab of grease and a small screw driver will aid in re-installing them
