    IH 59M shredder/chipper

I go to NJ next week. Will it fit in my checked bag for my flight home?

    IH 59M shredder/chipper

More on topic, David S gave a list of PPE to wear during 59M use. Kraig, do you have recommended footwear photos handy for Steve?

    IH 59M shredder/chipper

Brings a smile and a chuckle very time I think about it!

    IH 59M shredder/chipper

I’ll let you know. As I recall, years ago someone offered that a QA42A snow blower was a great answer for them, but I am snow blower challenged here.

    Wheel weights

Robert, the question is: will you live through it...? Don’t put a bunch of lead dust in your shop to breathe in for the rest of your (shortened) life.

Pine cones! LOL! Should I try the neighbor’s walnuts he shares with me?

    IH 59M shredder/chipper

They have been discussed here by folks more knowledgeable on them than I am. I have a Mighty Mac made by the same mfg, and it is great compared to the MTD ones I have worn out in the past. I am very jealous of the tractor mount feature, as mine is heavy to move around. Do a bit of searching...

    Wheel weights

Remember they're lead. Don't poison yourself over wheel weights. Think twice before putting lead particles into your shop. Maybe melt and recast before machining.

    1977, 1650 project

I snapped a front axle on a 126. It is a major pain. The tractor doesn't want to roll back to the shop, and it broke in the mud and rain. It was inconvenient as could be, but the guy I got my replacement axle from had a sweet Original. Replace it before you put it back together.

    Hi from Idaho.

Welcome Paul, wow! a 1650 with all those attachments is a great find with or without issues.

    1864 blade removal

Now that you’ve gotten some movement, can you work it back and forth, and maybe expand the range of movement? Also useful techniques mentioned previously were spray threads, and heat the nut. Can you see any thread damage?

Looking good Jerry! That spring looks like it got spiffed up just to go into retirement LOL.

    1864 blade removal

A floor jack handle often makes an excellent persuader when fitted onto a breaker bar. Use one section, or the entire length.

Welcome Rich! IH is a direct descendant from Cyrus McCormick and his reaper. Great history back to 1974 and well before.

Parts Wanted Kohler K-Series Flywheel Pulley w/Clutch Drive Plate

I have one, but it will cost more than buying a majority of Digger’s units.

    JD 214 ?

I ran into the new belts not working right problem too. I blame cost cutting on the belts. I eventually found a quick way to change them, but I don't remember what the trick was.

Those are the best uses of Vega blue that I have ever seen!

    JD 214 ?

My Father married a woman who came with a 214. As he got older, I got the maintenance responsibilities, and would trade him my Cub Cadet 126 when his 214 needed something. He got to the point where he could no longer adapt to the different controls of the two tractors, and I ended up buying my...
