Grant, I don't know how much you know but I'm not trying to preach...Most mfg for many years used off the shelf brgs and many still do..(The metric age has caused some changes!!) The brg,to me , is not the issue. It's taking it apart slowly.I've seen a couple that had loose detent balls on the...

Grant, I've had many different ones apart and the basics are similar.Todays tech allows you to take pics of every step. There is no reason for your concern. Just proceed slowly and pay attention to who does what internally..I just lay all the parts the way they came out...No I'm not perfect either...

If you have a wobble where axle comes out of diff.a reasonable guess is bad bearing just inside housing.Remove bearing and mosey down to auto parts store. The odds are very good they will have one.Use a micrometer to prove size...I made it sound easy....

    All Things Deer

Marty ,I'm guessing it has more to do with the experience of the yearlings.I watch them yr around and even in my yard they are more curious when younger but after a yr of growing up not so much anymore...Of course the "deer in the headlight look" is for real... A bright flashlight has the same...

A place for random photos,,,with no specific topic

There is an exception to the rule...almost never see a mature tom pushed away by a jake...Usually a tom kicks butt.....must be that hen wasn't "receptive".I've witnessed several fights and never saw that before...

A place for random photos,,,with no specific topic

Kraig, I watched 2 toms(young and old) meet in the middle of an old farm bridge.Squacking and flapping they had a go at each other.Suddenly the old tom jumped over the young one. When the young one turned the old warrior literally kicked him off the bridge into the river and very slowly walked...

Kraig, isn't it just like a male to puff up to show off his stuff....thinking he may own this one for a while??

    Lock Washers

Greg, how's that for sharing knowledge? So now how about the reasons behind torques ,allen, phillips, straight, screw/bolt heads..And quite often on the same engine....A cause of many curses over time...

    Troy Bilt Pony Tiller wheel

Ken, I guess it just depends on how bad you want to use it.There are many ways to make a hub work on small equip.but it does take being willing to modify.Example.....buy 2 3/4 shaft hubs have adapters made to go thru hub with a female adapter on the other side to 1 in. Wheels would run wider of...

electric CC riding mower?! when did that happen?

We would all be enlightened if we knew who stole all of "Telsa's" paperwork right after he died. Was it gov't or corp world ?? He was a genius unbound by corp rules of capitalism....IMO

    Troy Bilt Pony Tiller wheel

Ken, I have a "pony"....The dia. of those wheels don't mean squat.( I know they are part of the drive ratio)The width of course does.I would be looking for 2 wheels that were close....You said "toss it" I assumed "junk it" That's something I rarely do..Just trying to help....
  19. G

    Troy Bilt Pony Tiller wheel

Ken, not being one to toss away..Have you considered new wheels and boring them to size of shaft?? Have you considered 2 narrow wheels side by side.?? There must be a zillion 6 in. wheels out there..Push mower wheels??

    129 fuel / filter / carb float

Opinion...always run a filter. It doesn't take much to plug a needle valve seat.I would never take the chance, like most breakdowns they seem to happen at the most inoportune time....
