Thanks for the replies, guys. They say if it ain't broken, don't fix it, so I'll keep using that lift bar. And, the brake spring, too, unless I can figure out the "right" way. My only real agenda right now is to reinstall the rebuilt steering box and get the seals replaced in the hydro pump...

Double-check to make sure your solenoid is grounded. Clean the area good so the solenoid case makes good contact with the frame. You could even use a small wire jumper from battery negative to the solenoid case to see if that helps. If you're getting 12v at the small terminal when you turn...

Steve - I'm not certain, but I think the drawbar hitch may interfere wtith the tiller if you leave it mounted to the tiller gearbox frame while the tiller is connected. I'd remove the drawbar when using the tiller. But it would mount right up to the gearbox frame when the tiller comes off. Of...

I've bought two from Charlie, one of which was to replace a "similar" one from a farm store. Digger's are far better qualiy and they last. And, yes, we have to keep his heat on at FrostBite Falls. (I wonder if he is still paying off student loans from Whatsamatta U?) :roflol:

Scott, I agree - that's a comfy seat. I have that mower, too. I only wish it had springs instead of the hard plastic (rubber?) bumpers under the seat pan.
