    CC 100 in metro KC

Does anyone have the dimensions of the NF spring with the threaded plug in the end? I'm wondering if they are close enough in size to a small buster bar harrow from Ag industry.

    1872 hard to start

Its the float pin that is allowing gas to flood the engine or something. Think it was Matt G who explained it in a post to me a while ago? I can't remember correctly. It does it to all my tractors if I don't shut off the gas now. There is enough pressure to push the gas down as the tank is...

100 comes off storage shelf - back to work mode

No it's a coating that has been put in it, entire inside was coated, even top and around bottom of filler spout.

100 comes off storage shelf - back to work mode

Good idea! I "think" I have it all out now. It was a heck of a pile of stuff. Some of it was about 1/4" thick. Had to use two pair of needle nose pliers to reach in and break them apart to get through the filler neck. Now just need to find out what they used to line it with OR if I really...

100 comes off storage shelf - back to work mode

Carter model N carb. Bit of rust inside, guessing float will be nasty too. Green stuff come out when tipped over.

100 comes off storage shelf - back to work mode

So I took the 100 down off shelf a few weeks ago after about 3 years? Debating a carb replacement or at very least, a good cleaning! If I remember correctly it was a bit rough running when last used? I know linkage is getting worn too. Question... where are you guys getting good replacement...

450 blower on 982 not lifting

I still can't get a decent amount of lift out of this blower. Think I will need to make a longer lift rod? I put the 5 inch pulley on the gear box and put the shorter drive belt on, one fore 450 to 782. It makes it spin! Not sure if it is too fast that I will tear it up? Is it only pulley...

450 blower on 982 not lifting

Ok, no idea why I can not find this....what are the pulley sizes on a 451 vs 450 blower? Putting this old blower on 982. Was going to put a 5 inch pulley on back side of gear box. The other ones are OK the size they are? 6 inch. Took a 7 inch off gear box. have the regular 4.5 inch on...

    782 front subframe wear?

I would like to do that, but I don't have good bits or stones for my die grinder. I have yet to find some good ones. Suggestions? Would be much nicer than having to make new jaws

    782 front subframe wear?

I think the dog that holds the pins into the slot is okay, I am thinking it's is slot itself, the croch for the pin that needs rebuilding? Should be able to cut those off and weld on some new ones. Should be able to cut some new ones out with plasma cutter and weldn on

    782 front subframe wear?

Hmmmm, looks like re-build time for the 782. Darn! Guess there ain't much sense in continuing blade rebuild till this is fixed.

    782 front subframe wear?

How much "play" should there be in the pin craddle for sub frames? Lew measured his NOS sub frame for front blade as 1/2" pin. When I place a 1/2" bolt in its place for now as I have not gone to buy new pins yet, there seems to be a fair bit of play? I know they are old tractors, so some is...

Tractor For Sale Cub Cadet 2082

Hmmm... tires and engine is worth the $750 around here. Dale's giving a good deal on this one - at least if he was in my area he would be from what I've seen?

Any chance you can measure the size of that pin?

    Push blade measurements - wideframe

Are these supposed to be at 90*? This is the frame for blade. I have to remove and resend them as the right side is over 1/8" lower and blade doesn't sit level when set down on drive. Have to rebuild the shoes too as they are wearing out and one the threaded bolt is no more, so won't hold...

Soft shell cabs - wide frames

Just wondering who has the soft shell cabs on their cubs? I'm talking the canvas ones with the plexiglass windows. They fit okay, not rattling and shaking all over the place? Fairly easy to get in and out of? What about fogging up inside? Have you ever had to replace the windows, hard job...
