Parts Wanted Wanted two rear wheels for IH Cub Cadet 149. New or old.

I have two thirteen inch Honda rims with like new studded snow tires mounted. Only need the right adaptor which I think is available to fit a cub.

RZT 50" deck belt comes off or snaps randomly!

I would at least slow the engine down before going back to forward. You ever floor a straight stick and pop the clutch ??

RZT 50" deck belt comes off or snaps randomly!

Oh, forgot to mention, my 12 year old RZT-S still has the original belts !!!

RZT 50" deck belt comes off or snaps randomly!

I myself would never engage the pto with the throttle running more than a bit over an idle. Further more disabling that awful backup feature was the first thing I did.

    the Safety gas cans, pain

I drilled and tapped and screwed in an old radiator drain cock I had laying around. Works great. Open the cock and filler up with a fast steady stream.

    Amish shed move

Backed a 4' by 8' trailer inside my wooden 8' by 12' shed, got the shed on the trailer and moved to another location. Sure made the Hydro-stat whine on the 1450 !!!

Cub 169 no spark after burnt points

    All excellent 'points'.

Cub 169 no spark after burnt points

    Another good point ! ! !

Cub 169 no spark after burnt points

As a retired mechanic I would side with Tom. Remember this ? Adjusting automotive dwell with engine running using an allen wrench was awesome !

CC 782 transmission drive shaft fan????

The flex couplings on my 1978 1450 are original and look good enough so far which kind of amazes me.

Baffled by ignition switch in 1450 Quietline

My 1978 1450 was never left outside and I cleaned it and my current RZT-S after every use. If I was out mowing and it sprinkled I drove it inside and waited. Always removed the deck belt covers cause all they did was hold clippings, leaves and dirt in. Relocated the skimmer wheels on the RZT...

    1882 don't cut all of it ?

As I stated, the ones that advocate running high rpms when not needed are the ones selling replacements. Doesn't the fact that I have many years of running my way with no problems mean anything? P.S. You'd need ear protection to run that 25 hp. Kohler wide open

    1882 don't cut all of it ?

Also I have a 7 year old RZT-S 2 cylinder 25 hp. rider. Never thought I would have a 25 hp. lawn mower for a 50" deck. It mows nicely at maybe a quarter or so throttle. Running that at full throttle seems ludicrous and in my opinion only recommended by places that sell engines and engine...

    1882 don't cut all of it ?

Never did run wide open on governor speed and never will when not needed. My 1978 1450 has never had the engine disassembled and when running slower there is fewer ignition cycles so why would it matter about less air flow? I find I needed more higher rpm to handle wet snow than ever mowing...

    RED CUBS ?

My 1978 1450 has never had any hydro issues. Used for mowing and snow blowing until 6 years ago when I got an RZT-S for mowing. Just use the other for snow every year now.

    RZT value ?

Of the four riders I've owned over 46 years for my acre and a half my current RZT-S is my favorite !! So nice to do a zero turn with one hand and have my weed sprayer wand in the other.

    motor mounts

Boy did I get a reckoning !! The motor mounts on my 1978 1450 rotted out for the second time so I mounted the engine solidly to the frame with washers and bolts. After a short drive I put rubber mounts back in. The vibration was terrible !!! Now I know why the rubber mounts !

    Wheel rims

Any help getting the right size five-hole for the Cub is appreciated. I do have measurements if useful.

    Wheel rims

Another thought, get the adapter for the five lug Cub axle and alter the four lug pattern on adapter if needed. Just need to get the right size five hole for the Cub.
