Our Cub Cadet 1650 now has an 18 horse Briggs & Stratton V2 overhead valve engine. It sticks out all over so there is no hood or side panels but with all out power it is a real rototilling machine! hydraulic lift control
Mine feels more like the earlier pin type but I could not feel a whole in the lever for the role pin to go through. This is the same arts layout that I'm looking at in my parts manual. Number 8 I guess is the bushing that goes through the side of the housing panel but I have not figured out...- alan

hydraulic lift control
On our 1650 the lever assembly on the hide relic lift control arm has come loose and looking at it I can't figure what locked it to the shaft looking at the parts catalog that didn't help either. A two-fer Look What Followed Me Home...
It was the break rod against the other shafts that was stopping it from releasing the Hydro lock. I got it free and it worked but when I had it sticking straight up it still hung up. I now have a temporary fix with good old bailing twine ( now that we are no longer in the age of bailing wire).- alan

The end of the left-hand brake arm is broken so the left and one is not attached. I had it hooked on with zip ties for a while but that didn't last very long. The rod is no fallen down below the break shaft so it may be that it's causing it not to release. The housing cover has been off since I...- alan

Our 1650 now has a problem the shifter speed control ever whatever you want to call it seems to be sort of locked. A little earlier it did it and there was something that released at work again but now I have not figured out what to do to get it released. The rod that comes back to just below...- alan
