Good luck. FYI the low back seats were used on the Cub lawn tractors (1315, 1720, etc)from the late 80's early 90's. I have bought two nice seats from them for my garden tractors.

The Michigan Seat(K&M) OEM high back seats could be had new recently, but are on back order now.

Did someone say seat?

I know ,but thought I would look for a decent used one before buying a new one this 149 will likely be reconditioned and resold just trying to get the future owner a better seat !

A guy on CL in KC has a couple of very similar and not-too-bad-looking but, er, Craftsman brand seats for sale. Don’t know if he’s willing to ship.

I thought about nabbing one to use on my 100 while my Cub seat goes for a crack repair.

The last NEW $eat I bought, the crimped hem will not stay on the sides and pops off as soon as you sit in the seat.
Did I mention it was ex$pen$ive??
A couple of months ago I purchased the K&M 7519 "Cub Cadet" high back seat. Price was $125, which is high BUT the similar "universal fit" seat with the million ugly threaded holes at Tractor Supply is $139.99 plus tax. I did notice the TS seat has sheet metal screws around the perimeter of the seat in an effort to retain the trim.

I had one of the four I have purchased do what you have said. The fix was applying some very high end contact cement on the sides , then reinstalling the retaining trim. It hasn't done it since.

For the price, the seat shouldn't have any quality issues, but unfortunately they are the best at this time, IF you can even find one now. They seem to be on back order.

I bought several from Seat Warehouse in Indiana years back and have not had any issues with them at all. Unfortunately they are no longer in business AFAIK.
Seems like the hem mat'l does not have enough "crimp" strength to stay in place and squeezing it together more does not help as it seems to spring right back once you sit on the seat. and I do not have a big butt either!

Good deal, free shipping too!
That's what I thought, we'll see in a couple days ! I don't know if he's a dealer or not but he listed 10 available in his add .It says michigan style , could be made from beer cans and horse **** for all I know !!! Security Measure would not let me post link to ebay !item # Item: 304807648016 not alot of bolt holes , hope the right ones or I'll be doin some thread inserts !!!
