A 2ply Good-Year Soft track, Terra tire is what the sidewall says. 23x10.5x12. These were on the 782 8 years ago when I acquired it. The sidewalls were cracking back then so I tubed them. Otherwise they suit my needs. Looking at reviews on $80ish replacements, and they are all over the place. Wanda, Kenda, Hoosier and Carlisle (6L03381) people are raving about them and people are trashing them. I don't need $200 tires for Chained up snow tires. At the same time, I'm afraid to pull the trigger on anything I've looked at. Anyone put a few years on $80ish tires and are happy?
Thanks

I have bought several sets of Carlisle AG tires and love them. Can't say definitely about the turfs, but if they are anything like the ags, they will be great.

23 degree FIRESTONE AG tires. They brand their tires as " Gum dipped" and I suspect that protects their tires from sunlight, ozone and premature aging. I 'very got a 50 year old Firestone on the M out in the shop hat still looks great.

Found a deal at TS they were clearing out last year’s inventory

I may have described what I'm looking for incorrectly. Deestone 405's is the wrong tread..Deestone 265 is the tread. But you are happy with the Deestone brand. That's something. It seems as though many tires are shipped do folded up that the people can't get them to egg puns out and catch the bead.
I was looking at Hi-Run as well. So many positive AND negative reviews.
Not sure how old the GoodYears are that I have, I've owned it for 8 years, they were cracked back then. The tread is still great, they just dried up and finally cracked open.
What tire tube companies should I avoid. I'm going to tube these. Too bad there's no name on the tubes that are in them now.

Used Carlisle turf tires for years; with my Elec-Trak and extra backporch weight I plowed snow from a 20X70 paver driveway, no chains. Switched to Carlisle AGs, same difference except they stayed on year round and never damaged grass.

No matter what tires you get, keep them away from sunlight! That will ruin tires faster than anything.
I bought a set of tire covers for my new trailer tires. The old tires only had about 200 miles on them, but the sun dry rotted them, and started leaking air through the sidewalls.

My tire guy has had ZERO issues with mounting or sealing the D405's. They were shipped bare just banded together, but not distorted.

Best brand of innertubes, I doubt anybody in the US makes small tubes anymore. For large rear ag tractors a FIRESTONE radial rated tube has been the best since about 1979 when I used to buy 30 to 50 tubes at a time at FARMALL. I bought two for myself about 10 -12 years ago with no problems in this whole time. On a 10.50 x 12 may as well buy whatever you can find. I STILL refuse to use a tubeless tire on ANYTHING that runs less than 45 mph.

JON - The HDAP tire Tom posted I've seen good reviews on other garden tractor forums about them. Kind of a winter tire like a Blizzak for good Traction without tire chains. Anything I own I have chains for keep them on year-round. And my concrete driveway sure takes a toll on them. A salvage yard down around the Quad-Cities used to sell surplus chains that had blocks of hardened alloy steel attached to all the cross links, lots of farmers used them on their small Utility loader tractors, they lasted forever, expensive but worth it. They would scratch the Dickenson out of sidewalks and driveways.

For the price, I attempted to buy these. TSC will no longer sell HiRun. I think ALL TSC in the USA are sold out. I try to order On-line and I get a pop up stating cannot ship to my local store.
I went and ordered a Kinda Turf where the tread look very close to the GoodYears I took off. It would have been interesting to see how the Ags would have worked. AND couldn't beat the price

The last set of fronts that I ordered were "triangular" shape, put an inner tube in them and inflated it a bit, but really didn't make much difference.

Just got mine. They came two days early! While waiting I pulled the old tire, painted the rim and wheel weight AND made my 4 link chains into 2 link. Not sure if the 2 link setup works better. Just ran down my icy driveway. The 4 link used to cause the tire to drop onto surface then the chain would come and act like a pushing paddle. The 2 link has the cross- chains always on the surface. They almost feel like less push, more slide. I added Straight Bar cross-lins to my V bar chains. It was free so I thought, 'why not'?

These did come in a box. Inflating was effortless. Many reviews of tire Sellers on Amazon refer to the folded tires and nightmare of catching a bead. I'm not willing to play the ether and light a match game.
