:eek:ca; Coop has a pile of corn outside every year as it come in faster than thay can dry it down and ship it out.. They use a rear mounted snow blower to keep moving the pile toward the loading elevator, which is a wide belt type elevator. Loaded im semis and hauled to St Joe, then on to barges for down the mississippi.

Kraig,
are you sure that pics not mine? because It sure looks like the mess i done with my thrower and cord back in 12 or 13. I thought i had Digger post them on here. No biggie just my first thought when I saw it. That was a fun way to spend over a hour with side cuts. thanks for the chuckle regardless. Jim

Kraig - I thought Art wound up his cord in his snow blower.

Had to laugh, WE had contractors working on our house for about 2 months this past fall. I had a heavy 50 ft extension cord coiled up on the garage floor mostly to plug the car in on cold nights, or run a battery charger. And this fall it ran drills, circular saws, and especially battery chargers for other cordless power tools.
I will say one thing, I definitely own the wrong brand of cordless tools! I think I have at least one of every 19.2V Craftsman cordless tool made, and I know I have FOUR 1/2" drills. And I still use my corded tools quite a bit. I used to buy myself a Craftsman Black Friday 19.2V tool assortment every year for Christmas. SON had a good collection started too but he's a "Tool Junkie", if it isn't red and say Milwaukee he won't touch it. I finally bought my first Milwaukee cordless tool, a Milwaukee pole saw. I haven't used it yet but I think it will be great.

Jim, that could be yours. I thought it was Gerry Ide’s, I will have to check my archives this evening.

Denny, Art might have wound one up as well.

The photo I posted above was Gerry (aka Kendall) Ide's. Here's his original post:

Note the wrinkled edges on the auger....Gravel drive (won't get paved till the county paves the road)

Greg Lippert reeled in his dog tie out cable:

By Greg Lippert (Glippert) on Monday, January 10, 2011 - 09:27 pm:

I can't match Kendall Ide's extension cord reel (operating at 50 feet per second), but I did discover that a dog tie-out cable also retracts rather rapidly and stores neatly. Oh, and as an added bonus, that pesky hand rail on the steps off the deck won't be bothering anyone anytime soon - the one the cable was connected to.

I must be the lucky guy that has wrapped up a tie out cable, and a pull rope, the same day! That was last year on my 1650, this year I got the tie out cable again, because I moved it before I started blowing the driveway and my bride put the dog out and put her on it so she wouldn't run up to me while I was blowing and didn't put it back out in the snow bank when she let the dog in. By the time I made it to the back yard, the tracks were covered up with snow, so i didn't suspect anything. I wrapped it up in the 3 stage blower on my xt2. I should have took pictures, but it was 3 hours, with small bolt cutters getting that one out! It was much easier with the single stage.

nothing like watching your christmas lights rip off the house as you snowblow. almost as much fun as suddenly losing power to the hedge trimmer while flailing away at a shrub and seeing a nice dangling cord hanging from it. ya my extension cords have a lot of black tape.
I'm just picturing myself sitting on my tractor wondering why the lights were falling off the house, then having that "oh f$%#" moment!
