Put all those rusty bolts in a plastic jar of plain old white vinegar, shake it a bit and let it sit overnite.
Shake it some more in the morning and the rust and crap will have turned to mush and wipe right off with a wire brush.
Spray 'em down good with some WD or what have you for storage till you are ready to use 'em.
Depending on the age of your machine you may or may not have a mix of W/P (Western Pullman) stamped bolts or original IH stamped bolts.

Pushed the button today. it’s getting there. still have to add a light switch and decals, both ordered along with new tierod ends

Nicely done! I like the looks of the 100 model. Like you, I need to invest in a new compressor. I wanted a horizontal model to fit under my workbench to save space, but the capacity I need means vertical. So many projects, so little space…

thanks. its getting there. over christmas break i plan on doing the tierods, decals and light switch and all oil changes. probably work on the deck too just to get that out of the way before its needed. i tweaked the carb and got it running pretty good but it still has some pops when changing speeds too fast. i will run more seafoam through it to see if it frees up any junk. its not really bad enough to worry about. full throttle under load seems fine and it idles pretty good. curious how it works running the deck. i've already blown my schedule to get it to my camp for fall leaf chopping so no real hurry now. i only ran it a couple of times before i tore it all down so i don't have much runtime on it. getting it to move under its own power is a major help because my shop turns into more of a woodshop in the winter and i have some projects planned. i will update as i get more done.

did a little more on the 100. new tierod ends, decals, light switch and rear end oil and gasket. decals really dress it up nice. i noticed this one does not have the bracket that goes from the deck lift handle to the right floor board. it came with deck and mule drive on it and looked original. i wonder why it didn't have it? looks like a bit of a job to drop the floor boards to install one if i can find one.

Great refurb, any attachments?
right now just a mower deck. this one is going to be a mower at my camp. one of my other 100’s is going to get some attachments that i have been collecting. it already has a creeper and i have a plow and most of a 3-point for it. i hope to find or possibly fab a rear grader blade or rake so it can be used to maintain the gravel road at my camp one of these years. it needs quite a bit of work though. clutch needs replaced and the engine smokes a lot. probably going to do a full tear down on it and redo it in farmall red/white. it is one of several project tractors i have that i want to work on when i retire in the next year or so. gotta save some more money for a bit yet.

Cub1961,
Is this what you are referring to, concerning the "bracket that goes from the deck lift handle to the right floor board"?
This is the implement lift lever, which is used to lift a front blade or snow thrower, etc. This does not come standard on a cub.

ya that’s the one. my others have it but this one doesn’t. probably was only used for a mower is my guess. that’s all i will be using it for too
