Has anyone ever had any luck removing the swash plate if you have happened to drive the spring pin to far through. I’m working on replacing the output shaft seal on my 1450 and the manual I have for my 147 did not say anything about only going 15/32 on the trunnion side. Then I watched Frank’s (wood and metal shop time) video and got that bit of information. So am I screwed or is it possible to get the trunnion pin out with out damage to the case. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you. At least I know I’m not the only one who has did this. I’m thinking I might be able to drill out the spring pin enough to get the trunnion shaft out.

I have got the swash plate out and did not break anything. Live and learn. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought of tearing in to a hydro pump. My younger brother was a caterpillar mechanic for 30 years or so and I always had him do that kind of stuff. Now I can start to go back together with it. Thank you lpalma for the reply.
