i had the day off yesterday and was not expecting to make a 10.5 hour round trip to MN, but we did. got home just after midnight this morning. the boy found me a 127 w/a sickle. still on the truck yet. we have to paint his box blade and weights today, then get this off the truck and do some ditch mowing.

A guy in Topeka KS has a (bit of a basket case) sickle mower for sale on Craigslist.
and that is just it, we have found and seen several sickle mowers in various conditions, for $500 to 800 and did not know if all there or ran at all. yes we had a 10 hour road trip, did not really want a narrow frame, but now we knew it was complete and it ran. and a bonus, got a tractor.

You got a pretty good deal. There's not too many sickle bar mowers around here and what there are, either the price is astronomical or the thing is cobbled together and in rough shape.

Yes, I'm in total agreement with you, you bought the sickle bar and got the tractor thrown in for free 👍😎👍
