I have no experience with Super Cubs and was wondering if the rear axle setup was any different from the standard CC of that time frame

Is the hydro and axle different in a Super Cub Cadet?

The hydro unit output shaft and driven reduction gear are different to compensate for the larger tires on the Supers.

Too bad they never had a 2 speed rear behind the hydro unit.
