Can you get vise grip pliers on it? Not sure what the plug condition looks like. A pic would help.

Yes, I removed it with vise grips, but I’d like to know which replacement plug size to buy since I shredded the head with the vise grips :(

The 1250 is actually 3/8”-18 straight thread. It uses a gasket that I consider to be a PITA. Use a 3/8” pipe plug with a little sealer on it. Don’t go go all Hercules on it. The pan is aluminum. Just snug it up good with some sealer.

If you are looking for an original, here is the info:

KH X-708-1 or IH 549930 R1

Try the sponsors at the top of the page.
Kirk engines sells a magnetic drain plug for 3 bucks. I thought Charlie sold drain plugs also, but I could not find them.
All the sponsors do not appear every time. You have to open different threads/pages to see them all.

Just refresh the page, and you should get a fresh load of sponsors. They’ve cluttered the useful ones with the mega-mercenaries these days.

Shure is! Guess the tune up title threw me off. They're right below the neat gas can vents. Bought me a few of those vents while I was shopping there the other week!
