I haven't been contributing much here so I thought I would post some stuff we're doing in the garage. This could be Cub Cadet related or it might go off the rails so that's why we are here in the Sandbox.
My 100 was making some terrible noises last fall and I shut it off and pushed it in the barn. Well now it's time to see what's going on. My son Jackson and I are digging into it. Sorry I don't have much pics. More do follow.
After some inspection we have a broken piston ring and it looks like the rod is worn as well. So we need to get a rod and a set of piston rings on order.
The zero turn in the background is just getting new tires. My wife Stacey came to me and said it wasn't steering right and she thought something may be wrong. I wish I would've taken a picture. One tire was all balled up on the one side and completely ruined. I told here I wanted to get new tires for it anyway. I finished the lawn up with my 73.
Jackson and I also worked on our Yamaha golf cart a bit too. (installing the engine back in) details to follow.
That's it for now. Stay tuned.

OK, so we got it torn apart a little more.

By the looks of things someone has already been in here. (.030 over piston)

Took some measurements off of the crank and I believe I can go with a stock rod but will need .030 over rings.

On yet another note.....
Charlie I think you need to be contacting Anheuser Busch on behalf of all of us here about these new beer cans. Yeah it's good to salute the farmers, but why just the ones that drive those green tractors? :roflol::beer_chug:

I got all the necessary parts on order for the 100 and headed this way. (Thanks Charlie)
While I'm waiting on parts, the tires came in for the zero turn.

Stacey is ready to go muddin' now! :roflol: I took it for a spin and it will be so much nicer for mowing on a slight hill and turning around. No more spinning the tires. I think she will like it.

i'd like to see more on the engine stand mounted to the bench. that looks pretty handy for k series kohlers.
It's very handy. I saw this somewhere on the web. Probably a very popular online auction site. These are a couple pictures that I downloaded, copied the design and made it myself. I'll get more pictures tonight. Maybe someone else on here has some pics.

Parts came in yesterday. Didn't get a chance to work on it though. The grass needed mowing bad and they are calling for rain this weekend. BTW the new knobby tires on the zero turn worked great. I wish I would've done that a few years ago. Not sure when I will get back on the 100. I got a lot going on this weekend so it may have to wait until Monday night. We'll see. 🤔

My last post came from my phone. Geez, I struggled with that. Took me at least 3 times longer. I think I'm gonna stick to posting on the puter.
So anyway, yesterday was productive on the garden. Still a little wet, but hopefully I can get it planted tomorrow. We are expecting rain on Wednesday. Also smoked some ribs for supper. They turned out great.
