<!-quote-!>quote: By Kraig McConaughey "Keeper of the Photos" (Kmcconaughey) on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 - 08:16 am: Tristan, I believe the 14hp in your 1450 used a larger carb than the 12hp in the 129. I would think your mechanic friend would have a...

https://www.ihcubcadet.com/forum/messages/4/287619.jpg Kraig yeah thats exactly right (red line). I've superglued it, using a washer across the top of it to give the glue something to hold on to, but it usually comes off after a couple uses. I've never drilled and tapped before, might want to...

Kraig, it was just the socket head of the set screw I stripped, thanks for the info I see that it is listed (had to scroll down lol) now though I still probably would have had to ask since there was a couple others listed too. I'll just try a new screw first and see if that holds it. How...

So I struggled earlier this year getting the grass cut with three cubs down. Spent a lot of time getting my first 129 running... main problem was hydro control. Pulled it and did the trunion repair and also shimmed some of the linkages. Tightened the hand lever too (most of the problem). However...

Here is a pic of the trunion bracket. It does look like the end pins have warn little slots into the corners. Probably have to do something about that too. Not sure of my welding abilities when tight tolerances actually matter, I may try, or see if one of my junk tractors has good parts on it...

Long time since I've been on here. Getting ready for the mowing season and mounted the mower on my built one 1000. Its the one I put the light pulling clutch in. That thing has been a bit of a pain from the get go, actually a major pain, and looks like after I got half way done mowing the first...

DonT... yeah but I like that hitch setup, thats the dual hitch from Aaron. Also I specifically built that cart to place a lot of weight on the back tires, else no way I could pull 1,000 lbs uphill with 2wd! Its a delicate balance though, being able to place as much weight as possible on the...

Just thought I'd post some pics of the cubs last logging challenge. The ol 1000 held up great when I went logging a month ago, but the last trip I woke up to some unexpected snow Sunday morning. This really made the hills a challenge with traction. Ended up abandoning most of the wood I...

Worked the ol cub hard this weekend and have the pics to prove it! Still havent adjusted my hydro tractor and its got the turfs n chains so figure this would be a good workout for the 1000 with the new creeper and MWSC clutch. Got to use the 30cuft cart I built too. Was up at the 'camp' from...

Bill Jamison - using the chain was dual purpose. My float button thingy is missing out of the handle so it won't float unless I hold the button down with my thumb. I started out doing that the first time I plowed, and my hand was REALLY SORE after that! But the first time I plowed I noticed...

My first contribution this year to the snow porn... Definately not the easiest snow removal job since my normal snow removal tractor (the 129) isnt really usable with the hydro control all out of whack at the moment, along with a few other issues. I missed the chains and hydro for this...

Frank - Yeah tires on the cart are 23x10.50x12's off the 1450. I was all about trying to use what I had laying around. And bigger than most tires that come on most carts. Jeremiah - thanks. Yeah I didnt worry about lights on this one. And I just used the plywood since I had it laying around -...

Looks like I got hit by the forum bug for the first time! I'll just repost: Jeff... unfortunately my 129 has the ol hand lift but the spring makes it a little nicer with my #2 tiller. Got a junk 1450 that whenever I get around to it I'm going to try and swap the hydro/lift over...

For the never ending debate, I'll say that I like both hy and gd, but I prefer gd slightly in everything but snow removal. Yeah even mowing, I much prefer set it and forget it with all the hills I have, or anytime I might have a cup of coffee in my hand. With the hydro I pretty much got to have...
