Ken - I know how a governor works, (or atleast believe I do), maybe I will try unhooking it completely, and seeing if it clears up or not. Worth a try. Just seems like my 104, when it comes on the governor, it doesn't sound like it is lugging, or displays a serious lack of power like my 105...

Ok, Thanks Ken and Bryan. That is one place I will check. Although it sounds like the engine is being pulled down under load, as opposed to just being RPM limited by the governor, I won't rule out anything at this point. Got Ken Updike's yellow book for Christmas.. life is good.

Merry Christmas everyone. My 105, with a fresh rebuilt motor, seems to be really lacking in power. It starts up and idles ok, but it just lugs real hard under any load - even free-reving. I have replaced the entire ignition system, checked timing, both with a feeler gauge and a light (20...

IH Cub Cadet Plow Day 10.0, October 22, 2005

I haven't seen more than a few cents difference between Il and WI gas prices, but that is non - tollway prices. Did stop in the middle of nowhere weat of Beloit, WI for gas on Tuesday, that joint was 3.40 a gallon while everybody else is 2.59 / gallon. The price for convience, eh? I bought just...

A couple times here I have seen pics of a minature haybaler. Does anybody have one or used one? Or was it a custom built rig? Looking to try planting a plot of hay next season, and would like to do the whole thing with the cubs. TIA

    Keith E's Man Land...

It is contagious. I am putting up a 30 x 50 shop. Should be pouring concrete today or tomorrow. I went with 6" floor, 12' ceiling, and a modine heater. Buried it in the woods, about 100 yards behind the house. Ill be glad to finish up moving, and turning some wrenches on the cubs again!

    Milling Machines

With tooling, you get what you pay for. Drills, Cleveland is awesome, Union Butterfield is fine, cheap is cheap. Same goes for end mills, reamers, counterbores & countersinks, carbide inserts. Face mills, the Iscars with the octagon inserts are nice, except for shoulder work, Ingersolls...

Charlie - I would have thought they had something more scientific than that... Seen a few yards that were drifted down to the grass in spots. Maybe they do multiple samplings in diffwerent areas and average them? I dunno. Got done plowing my end of the Park, Don S. I about went over the...

I really don't know how much we got.. I would suspect about 7 or 8". Just a guess, though. How the heck do the meteorologists determine snowfall, and not take into account for drifting and such? Do they use some type of 'snow gauge' that would be impervious to drifts and blowing?

Charlie- I was by myself, and they don't have any cordless phones, so I called a friend on the landline, and asked him to keep calling the cell phone till I heard it ringing in the snow. Dam hard to find, even when you do start hearing it ring, buried in the snow!

Don, that is today's project. I am farm-sitting for mom & dad, they are on vacation, so I was up at their place in Shirland working and having a heck of a time. My cellphone fell out of my coat pocket and got buried in the snow, looked for that for over a hour, got my truck stuck in the snow for...
