    Housekeeping

For the hell of it, when I did mine I used valve grinding compound instead of sandpaper on a piece of glass, worked well.

1961 Original for sale S# 15473 I have a Ton of Parts to finish it New Nos Blade

Oops sorry, the spec info I found on the web (tractor data I think) said k241 was the engine, so I was in error. I should have waited for someone more familiar with the 100, but it seemed no one else was going to comment. Very sorry for the confusion!

I got curious and looked up this engine, k241, and it does indeed have an automatic compression release, so all is probably fine.

I’m not familiar with the original motor, but does it have an automatic compression release like my 1250? You will not see any compression on a good motor if that is the case. Good luck!

    Best ignition coil

I lost a couple coils on my 1250, have had no issues since I mounted it to the frame.

    K301 rebuild

I have an isavetractors carb on my 1250. Worked fine for the last 2 or 3 years. Only issue was the throttle butterfly was a bit stiff

Kohler Mag 20 dumping fuel again

I got a full motor rebuild kit from issavetractors for my 1250 which included a carb. Carb worked fine but the throttle butterfly was a bit stiff, so did not respond to the governor quite right. I cobbled together a very weak “spring” to help it return, been running fine for 3 years.

    New Kid on the Block

Thanks! If you get them figured out, could you show a bit more? Always wondered what that bag of springs was in the spares that came with my 1250.

    New Kid on the Block

Nice! Where did you find the picture explaining the springs on the quick attach bar? I was not able to find an image or explanation so mines (1250) been held up by some wraps of safety wire since I acquired it 5 years ago. Sadly the only “attachment” I have is the mower deck, so it’s not really...

    Empty crankcase at 2 hours?

You can try knocking it in slightly to break it loose, that sometimes works. Good luck.

    Best ignition coil

I went through a couple of coils on my 1250, then remembered seeing a suggestion here to mount the coil to the tractor frame. Been working fine since then, away from the heat and vibration. However I’m sure if you buy the the Bosch from Kirk as others have suggested it’ll be fine.

    What model is this?

When I did a rebuild of my 1250 motor (.010 over bore, all new guts) the cast white metal piece of the muffler box was too busted up to use. I was not able to find a replacement within my budget. As it holds all the sheet metal that surrounds the muffler, and the muffler itself was holey, I...

    Today's project

Still driving my 1990 740 turbo wagon, 250? K miles, easy to wrench on… advised a step kid to buy a Volvo XC70, wish I hadn’t. Awesome car to drive but man is it a pain to work on and we’ve done a lot…

    Just another 129 project

Is that a robo mower in the background? If so how do you like it?
