Loose Steering on Narrow Frame Cubs

Question, I have read through this thread, and I just want to make sure I am adjusting the correct nut on my steering box. My tractor is a 1968 105 My steering wheel turns a good 1/8th of a turn before I feel anything in the tie rod. Which nut should I be adjusting A, B, or C? THANK YOU in advance.

105 Replacing drive shaft and related parts

Can it be removed without splitting the tractor again?

105 Replacing drive shaft and related parts

OK, found the problem. The tail end of the drive shaft has a 1/2" nose on it that sticks through the flex disc and needs to slide into the transmission coupler T. I got it all buttoned back up and thought I would give the bolts on the engine coupler another check and tighten them a little...

105 Replacing drive shaft and related parts

OK, question: Are the holes in the frame that the motor bolts to elongated, so the motor can move forward or backward slightly?

105 Replacing drive shaft and related parts

Before I installed the new one I compared them on the bench, oddly they were the same thickness, the old one was just tattered. I'm stuck so I'll just have to slide it back out and take a look.

105 Replacing drive shaft and related parts

I was afraid someone was going to tell me something that would require sliding it back out. LOL I'll take a closer look, thank you!

105 Replacing drive shaft and related parts

OK, one more question. I split the tractor and installed a new coupler on the back of the motor, a new drive shaft and pin, and a new flex disc at the rear. I rolled the rear wheels forward and feed the drive shaft through so it fit into the new coupler. My problem now is the holes in the frame...

Thank you. I would hate to put this back together only to find I need to split it again. :bash:

Question for this thread. I split my 105 to replace the drive shaft, coupler, and flex disc. While I had it split, I thought I would lube the unloading hydro-release valves. One of them releases and pops back up almost immediately after pushing it in, the other stays down. Is this normal? Will...

I thought it was supposed to stay together. Is it easier to remove the front end of the rod?

OK, all-wise and powerful members of this here forum. I was told it always helps to pre-lubricate before you start turning the nuts. LOL Here is my problem, I removed the brake pin and cotter pin, but now I have the linkage for the speed control. See the picture. I thought removing the nut from...

    Fuel sediment bowl elimination

Thank you all for your recommendations. After researching and considering this is my grandfather's tractor, I decided to be cheap and buy the float bowl gasket (just like he would have. LOL). I really want to keep it as original as possible, right down to the tear in the seat from his pocket...
