James M. I have used 3/8 rope to get a belt length in the past. Seemed to work really well plus it's pretty close to the actual belt width. Just my 2 cents worth. Good luck

    Scrappy came, Shadow went

Frank...Sorry to hear about your loss of Shadow. We too just lost our 2 1/2 y.o. German Shorthair Pointer. I feel your pain. We just take it a day at a time. Wish you the best.

Earl...My experience with the coil on my 122 was it was running fine then quit. I found they either work or they don't. I would check the spark plug, possibly going bad.If it's a Champion, throw it away(MHO).I run NGK B6L stock #3212.Good luck.

Cletus E. I have a CH18S in my 1864. I haven't run it any amount of time because I'm still in the refurbish stage. It runs good and sounds strong. Dave C....Thanks for your suggestion. That was my initial thought as well. I haven't looked at it real close yet. Harry B... I like your idea of making it heavier/stronger. I guess I can't complain to much since it's taken about 50 yrs give or take to break.

OK guys...Got a question about my 122. The ground clutch went out today, which I knew was gonna happen. Here is the real problem, the bottom front part of the pedestal has broke on both sides.
