    1450 charging system?

Haha, true! Well, turns out it's just my rectifier. I've got a rock steady 30vAC feeding the rectifier, but the output voltage is all over the place. At least that's a part that's easy to get to!

    1450 charging system?

Thanks for the info! As soon as the temperature is back above zero, I'll run some more checks on it with my multimeter.

    1450 charging system?

Hello there, I have an IH CC 1450 that is not currently charging itself properly... But, I can't find any information on what actually does the charging! Does the starter pull double duty? Or does my tractor have a stator? If the latter, approximately where is it, and how far do I have to...

Thanks Kraig McConaughey, that seems a more likely suspect than that the ignition coil spontaneously failed. It's been a month or two since I had to run my tractor, the points could have corroded together. I'll take a look at that tomorrow!

No spark on an CC 1450?

I've got a 1974 IH Cub Cadet 1450, I went out to mow my lawn today, and the engine cranked and cranked without firing. After some simple diagnosis, I find I have no spark. I'm not 100% on how the ignition system works on this one, so I'd like some help. I've got ~14 volts going into the...

I've got a QA-36 snow-thrower for my Cub Cadet 1450, and I need the mount for the small chain-sprocket, the entire assembly used to adjust chain tension. After 40 years of operation, the chain has actually worn the grease fitting to half its original size! Please e-mail me if you have one.
