    Austin- the splines have to line up with the sliding coupler in the transmission. You can also leave it in neutral, with the clutch pushed down and gently let out the clutch as you put slight pressure on the PTO lever to engage it and it should go right in.

    Jonathan- You sure can. But they will perform better on wider rims. The foot print on the ground will be smaller than if they were on the correct rims

    Mike P. Good find! The original firestones are much better and was told the newer tires are made out of synthetic rubber. I have two new pairs of the 26-12-12 I need to get put on.

    Kraig- Have never tried JB weld for trunion just offered it as something to try. I would not even bother with new springs and caps if there is not at least an attempt to fix the trunion rectangle. I usually cut out the side and weld key stock back in to get to spec.

    Keith- If you can not find someone to weld it for you I would get some JB weld and fill in the worn notches at least. Not the best but better than nothing. Those notches worn in are part of the jumpy operation.

    I thought 982's were hydros

    They are. More than likely a 982 hood on a 582. The tunnel between your legs should be longer on a 982 and that one looks shorter like a 582 would be.
