Upgraded Mag 20 remote oil lines

Since I'm posting pictures anyways... Here is the 2072's current driver. My 5yr old. He pilots this thing as well as any 55yr old. Mows nice straight lines and even backs it back into the shop. I practically don't even need to watch him. But that might qualify as bad parenting

Upgraded Mag 20 remote oil lines

Here's what a quality photo looks like when reduced to under 250KB... Can't hardly see a thing. BTW, one of those OEM lines is listed at $165. The other is NLA. So, I bought enough -AN parts to fix both of my Mag 20's just like this, plus the 37 degree flaring tool for $150 total from Summit...

Upgraded Mag 20 remote oil lines

Well, way back in 2017 I posted this: By Nic Bextermueller (Nbextermueller) on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 - 09:11 pm: Has anybody replaced the remote oil lines on a Mag18/20? Did you use OEM lines or use your stuff? Both my Mag 20's have leaky lines. I want to replace them, but not sure...

Loss of power when PTO is engaged. 18HP Twin

I just pulled the engine out of my 2072 and I sure don't recall ever unplugging a regulator/rectifier.

Loss of power when PTO is engaged. 18HP Twin

Matt, i disagree that the 2 systems are entirely independent of each other. If that was the case, then the bad battery in my 782/Mag20 wouldn't have mattered. The battery wouldn't take a charge, so when it ran low, the Magneto would have a hard time producing enough energy to run the PTO and...

Loss of power when PTO is engaged. 18HP Twin

Is it charging the battery properly? My twins seems to start to spit and sputter when the charging system is poor, the reg/rectifier is not working, and it starts running on battery alone. When the battery can't keep up, the plugs can't fire well enough. The PTO makes this problem worse cause...

    1811 PTO Clutch

Tammy, I do mine on feel. Just shot for somewhere between the numbers you said. We are talking about .001 or .003 of an inch on something that probably expands more than that when it gets hot. You should just hear it rubbing when turned off. And you shouldn't be able to turn it when it's...

"Upgrading" a 2072 alum rearend to cast iron?

Has anybody replaced the remote oil lines on a Mag18/20? Did you use OEM lines or use your stuff? Both my Mag 20's have leaky lines. I want to replace them, but not sure where to start. My inclination is to switch the adapter fittings to NPT-to-AN fittings and run -6 AN brained steel lines...

"Upgrading" a 2072 alum rearend to cast iron?

So, fast forward a month. To tighten the engine plate bolts. I had to completely remove the engine. I love the 82 series, but it seems like a poor design that I need to REMOVE the engine, so I can properly bolt it IN the tractor. I used actual crushed lock nuts (no nylocs) and split washers...

    I HATE this new crap!

It's probably broke cause he ruined it with that seat cover... I assume he hasn't even bothered to look at the sticker on those side panels on the floor. It does have a proper tag on it some where. He's just not spilling the beans.

    582 plow tractor

This is similar to what I saw last time. I found this on a quick google search. It doesn't show all the parts and this person's profile where I found it is not available anymore...

    582 plow tractor

Steve, do you know if a narrow frame hydraulic lift pump is already set to the proper pressure and have a relief valve? Is the NF spool valve built into that pump or is it "remote" but just bolted to the same assembly? For my 128, Ideally I would want to utilize the proper WF hydro lift...

    582 plow tractor

Joshua, How to you plan to adapt the hydraulic lift system from a hydro tractor like an 1811 into a GD tractor? The hydraulics on a hydro are driven by the same pump that drives the wheels. Are you going to run an "external" pump to move fluid around? I am genuinely curious about...

Ethan, Basically right underneath the Carb. It's the rectangle with one nut in the middle.
