    782 front subframe wear?

I would like to do that, but I don't have good bits or stones for my die grinder. I have yet to find some good ones. Suggestions? Would be much nicer than having to make new jaws

    782 front subframe wear?

I think the dog that holds the pins into the slot is okay, I am thinking it's is slot itself, the croch for the pin that needs rebuilding? Should be able to cut those off and weld on some new ones. Should be able to cut some new ones out with plasma cutter and weldn on

    782 front subframe wear?

Hmmmm, looks like re-build time for the 782. Darn! Guess there ain't much sense in continuing blade rebuild till this is fixed.

    782 front subframe wear?

How much "play" should there be in the pin craddle for sub frames? Lew measured his NOS sub frame for front blade as 1/2" pin. When I place a 1/2" bolt in its place for now as I have not gone to buy new pins yet, there seems to be a fair bit of play? I know they are old tractors, so some is...

Tractor For Sale Cub Cadet 2082

Hmmm... tires and engine is worth the $750 around here. Dale's giving a good deal on this one - at least if he was in my area he would be from what I've seen?

Are these supposed to be at 90*? This is the frame for blade. I have to remove and resend them as the right side is over 1/8" lower and blade doesn't sit level when set down on drive. Have to rebuild the shoes too as they are wearing out and one the threaded bolt is no more, so won't hold...

Soft shell cabs - wide frames

Just wondering who has the soft shell cabs on their cubs? I'm talking the canvas ones with the plexiglass windows. They fit okay, not rattling and shaking all over the place? Fairly easy to get in and out of? What about fogging up inside? Have you ever had to replace the windows, hard job...

    106 vs 127 vs 147 Newbie Questions

I use them on my 982 with the blower on, they work great down to like -30*C here in Ontario. Like all other tires, the ice will make them slide, but anything else, they grab good. WAY better than my tri-ribs do! I wish I would have got 2 sets when I ordered them from tire dealer many years...

    106 vs 127 vs 147 Newbie Questions

Heads up, you will hate the tri-ribs in the snow. I have them on my 782. They slide around a lot. Plowing with them will have front of tractor pushed to side a lot. Ice is totally not your friend! The multi rib tires are the best for snow. Have the Veinstra (spelling??) tires on my 982...

Blade, 42".. and lift rod bracket (the extended version so lif rod will get to it). I figured the blades would have been the same except for the sub frames? Or did they actually have longer lift rod brackets when using on a wide frame?
