Born in Minnesota, my Dad had an International Harvester dealership (long before Cub Cadets), my brothers took over the dealer ship and Cub Cadets became a large part of their business. Post VN attached Italian Air Force NATO (just outside Venice) for four years, flying F-104 (Mach 2.37), ten years later returned to Italy as Commander Naval Activities Italy, two tours in PI, second as Commander VFC-5 providing Fighter Adversary training (think "Top Gun") for deployed USN, USMC, and USAF deployed air forces, plus the same training for allied air forces including: Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Philippines, Australia, and New Zealand.
My stateside tours limited to student Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey and, Chief of Naval Operations Chair, National War College. After 33 years Navy, worked for 15 years at MIT BFP DRC as Senior Research Scientist.
