    Gents, I have a 1282 and I cannot seem to get the deck up high enough. It scalps the lawn. I use it in my orchard where I don't care about the cut however I have to use a newer cub to mow my yard due to the extremely low deck height of the 1282.

    You guys are great! I posted a thread about the same issue yesterday. I did not see this thread when I searched however I just unplugged my pto harness and tried it,,,stalls out so it must be a wiring issue.

    When I start my 1282, she runs great, with no belt on the pto , I engage it and it bogs the engine down (stalls). I shut the engine off and can hear the pto engage and disengage when I flip the switch. Any ideas gents?
